The staff at the Marriott Halifax Habourfront are welcoming and friendly. I felt like I was in a home away from my home. I stayed in a Conierge Room and very much enjoyed the access to the lounge for breakfast and evening offerings of some tasty food. As well, the morning adult swim time from 6:00 to 7:00 a.m. was just great as the pool is the right […] temperature for a little workout swim. Too, I enjoyed the Interlude Spa having received a relaxing therapeutic massage from a registered massage therapist..very professional. The location could not be any better as museums, shops, art gallery, restaurants and the wharf are within a short walking distance. I look forward to return to Halifax and I definitely would choose to book a room at the Marriott Halifax Habourfront as my first choice. Read more

We booked an executive deluxe room but our view from the window was the building's roof. The bed was very unconfortable,parking $25.00 dollars daily. Great location, but too expensive.

This was my second stay at the Hotel, First time, no complains. This time , the beds were very uncomfortable I spoke to the front desk but they did not offer any assistance. Its not like i was not paying good money for this room.

The hotel itself was lovely, the rooms were spotless, location (for us) was ideal. However, upon arriving at the hotel they had double booked and had limited rooms. They did accommodate us, but we had to move rooms and the hotel had some confusion as to whether we were in or out. Therefore, we had to continually check in at the desk to make sure we […] were in the room we were in, or had to move. So, frustrating on that point. All staff very friendly from the time we pulled into the driveway at the front of the Hotel. Very helpful and knowledgeable about local area. Close to everything we wanted to do so we could walk or catch a cab right out front. We can not wait to go again and enjoy warmer weather.

The employees at reception and in the restaurant were fabulous - so pleasant and helpful. The only problem was the noise in the hall from 3 till 4 am - which was unfortunate as my daughter had an important interview the next day. Perhaps the hotel could try to put adult clients on a different floor when there is a large student group in residence?

The location is superb, although it is pretty basic otherwise. The driving instructions available in the parking garage is a nice touch. Disappointing that even thought the hotel was not very busy, they still wanted to charge for an upgrade to a harbourview room.

Our oom was nice but small. Absolutely no view besides the other side of the building with furnace / air exchangers in between. The whole evening we heard loud noises like construction above our room. Not a very relaxing evening. Nice pool and hot tub.

The hotel location and the walkway/tunnels made it possible for us to walk to the Metro Center and the casino without having to walk outside in the pouring rain. The hotel is well situated, on the beautiful Halifax waterfront. There are many bistros, pubs, and touristy things to do within walking distance. There are museums for abit of history, and shopping for those inclined. The hotel itself was very nice, and the staff extremely helpful....some going the extra mile to ensure we were taken care of.

Had prepaid. Arrived late (after midnight) - they said only one room left in entire hotel. Fold out bed - wouldn't even go flat. Room also had no bath - only a shower. What more can I say? From the moment we arrived until our departure we were treated with true Haligonian friendliness. Alexa at the concierge is a gem and assisted us wih all of our travel plans. Of course when she was not at the desk, Simon too was a great help. Look forward to returning time and time again.

We arrived after red eye flight. We checked in. All though the policy is a 3pm check in they did nothing to expedite readying a room for us. They allowed us to sit on their couch for close to two hours and we were trying our best not to fall asleep on the couch. You can hear normal conversations in the hallway from people in their rooms. The pillows […] that they provided us were very small, about half the size of a normal pillow. We had to resort to using the decorative pillows. The shining point is the cleaning staff. The Marriott Harbour is a beautiful hotel located directly, you guessed it, on the Harbour. The staff was extremely helpful, friendly and competent. When my boyfriend's daughter needed to stay with us for a couple of nights during our stay, we asked for a cot, and they very helpfully suggested they could switch us to a room with 2 beds instead, no extra […] charge. The only 2 minor things I can think of that were negative is that they pillows are not very comfortable, and internet was not included in fee, you needed to pay extra for that, but it did include long distance calls. Friendly service with recommendations from front staff as to where to go for fun when you asked them. Room was nice and clean and comfy but no smoking rooms are offered. Was dissapointed in price of internet ($20 for the night) when you just want to check a proline ticket. Great location so the walk back after drinking is all down hill.

I chose this hotel for it's location and convenience to everything including a casino, waterfront area, tourist trips, pubs, downtown and museums. You can walk everywhere. However, for the price I thought it should inlclude internet since most hotels offer this as part of the package. I found the bathroom in the room terribly small, but functional. […] I didn't care for a glass insert in the door which isn't the most private if sharing a room. The toilet required a service call when the handle broke and they were there to repair in 15 minutes or less. They do not offer a shuttle service of their own to the airport, but you can catch the Airporter outside the front door providing the departing time suits you for a reasonable price. There is always a taxi waiting to you anywhere. My room with a view was of mostly a building in Halifax, but I could see some waterfront. The beds were nice and comfortable. It has a nice lobby with Starbucks on ground level and plenty of meeting space. There is no shorage of restaurants in the immediate area and are easily reached on foot with great food. All in all it is a nice hotel and kept up nicely inside and out. The staff was always helpful and the check in/out process was very quick. Read more

I stayed there due to the Bell/Aliant Conference I was attending. When I went to my room there were 2 double beds, I requested one king bed. When I went down to the front desk he explained to me that because I did not book through the hotel I was bumped for the king bed, but was not very nice about it. This hotel is linked to the Casino Halifax and is convenient for any who wish to go there. On site parking is adequate but the per diem rate was a little extreme for a city of Halifax's size. All the staff were pleasant, service was prompt and courteous. All aspects of our stay were positive.
