Very charming well kept motel in Montecito--Santa Barbara's best address. Nice and helpful office staff. Good pizza across street and the best Chinese in SB within walking distance. Excellent bkfst and sandwich shop couple of blocks away. Right off the 101-fantastic location.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Clean, comfortable and affordable."
Nice to find an affordable place in an exclusive neighborhood. Friendly, knowlewdgeable staff. It would have been nice to have a coffeemaker and/or refrigerator in the room.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
I stayed here the night of an event I went to at the Biltmore. It was a great price for the location and for being in Montecito! It was only a $5 cab ride to the Biltmore. Staff was friendly and accommodating. It is an older hotel, so the rooms are average. They usually give a coupon for the restaurant next door, but they were closed due to renovations […] so they gave us a coupon to Jeannine's Bakery instead. I would definitely stay here again. "Very good location, but fee for parking"
The motel was clean and comfortable except for a very small bathroom. Upon checkout, we were charged $3.00 for parking at the motel. I have never heard of a fee for a motel. It was never mentioned until check-out. We could have easily parked in the street. It left a bad taste in our mouths.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotel is in a great area with walking distance to dining and shopping. You get a $5 credit for breakfast at an amazing bakery across the street. There was even a turn-down service. We would definitely stay there again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great looking small motel"
This is a cozy looking and small motel with great big pots of flowers all over the place, lovely pool and friendly staff. The linens are great without 73 pillows on your bed! I would stay here again when in Santa Barbara.Genuine Expedia guest review
The bathroom was microscopic and the position of the toilet so close to the wall that your knees hit the wall. If you are close to 6' tall you will have to sit sideways to use it. The bathroom light switch did not work correctly and needed to be flicked on and off in order for it to turn on the light. There is no air conditioner which made no difference […] since it was winter, but in the summer it would be an issue. There is, however, a ceiling fan which can only be turned on by a remote control which do not work correctly either. The cleaning staff was very loud early in the morning and woke us up several times. Overall, it was a nice place but would not go back. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Overnight Stay at Holidays"
This is a great little motel style inn, we would definitely stay there again if our friend's house is not available. We were set back from the road and on the second floor, so it was quiet. The room was clean, the staff very friendly and though the room decor is old, it is still charming. The downside for us was that it is not dog friendly and they […] did want to charge $15 extra/night for the use of a roll away bed for our 4 year old, so we had to bring our own inflatible bed and sheets, pillow, comforter, etc. But for the location and convenience to Montecito it is a great find. "Clean and cheap"
Everything you can ask for for an inexpensive stay. Clean rooms, comfortable beds, good service and great location. The building is a bit old, but has been well taken care of. The bathrooms are spotless and the staff jumps to please. Will stay again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good Stay. Cute Hotel"
The hotel was nice. It was vintage, comfortable and classy. I liked it :) Coffee was good in the lobby area!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
this was a simple but cute and clean hotel room. it has the feel of a mix between a B&B and a motel. Simple rooms with a flat screen TV, clean bathroom, and attractive fixtures and bedding. the walls are a little thin but not a big deal. would definitely stay here again if i were in the area. overall great value.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Comfortable and clean."
This hotel is comfortable and clean inspite of being an older facility. We enjoyed our stay. It is very convenient and we will stay again in future.Genuine Expedia guest review
Would choose the apt. suite again. All rooms were clean and pleasingly decorated. King size beds were very comfortable in good size rooms. Kitchen and sitting rooms were great. House keeping staff were prompt and did an excellent job. Office staff very friendly and helpful. Loved that shops and restaurants were short walking distance.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice quiet neighborhood."
This place has a nice feel. An older motel but rooms are very nicely decorated. The neighborood is much quieter and more subuuban than the "strip" motels on State Street.Genuine Expedia guest review
"The Perfect Escape"
I loved my room and even more than that It was the best location. I walked to the beach and restaurants. We even tried out the complimentary bikes for a ride along the beach. The certs for Jeanines Bakery was great for breakfast. The staff was excellent, the bed was so comfy. I could live in that room.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Quaint and comfortable"
It is an older hotel with a terrific staff. Very well kept up in a very quaint setting. The $5.00 discount coupon for breakfast was a nice touchGenuine Expedia guest review
"Exactly as expected - and for our needs"
Thanks to prior reviewers we got just what we wanted for this quick trip up to SB. Easy access from 101, a hillside view of the ocean, working wifi and a great breakfast at 1/3 off! Yes, the windows and doors need upgrading for soundproofing, yes they get $3 for parking at a motor lodge! Yes, the housekeeping was haphazard (prior guests left fake eyelashes […] in bathroom and razor behind the dresser) - it's not the Marriott but we did 't pay Marriott prices either! Didn't try the pool but it looked nice and the office staff was pleasant and efficient. I will offer one easy cheap upgrade idea for owners: install lamps with plugs (elec and USB) and run a strip up to the top of the dresser so guests don't have to move furniture to get to the plugs. "Hotel was disappointing"
The room, which was very small, had no air conditioning and even with all windows and doors open, ventilation was minimal. Lighting was inadequate, making it difficult to read. The bathroom had only one very tiny bar of soap - not enough for both the sink and shower. Location was very nice, however, and the vouchers for a discount at Jeanine's for […] breakfast was a plus. "A Bit Small, But a Really Lovely Inn"
We tried to find a place right in Downtown SB, but they were ridiculously priced. I am glad we ended up at this little hideaway inn in Montecito. It is a very clean and homey inn with wonderful furniture. The room was small and they don't have AC, but it was safe to keep windows open where we were and we loved the ceiling fans. It is in a really nice […] neighborhood with some great restaurants. Everyone there was very friendly. Plus it is only a ten minute drive to the SB pier. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Cute & Cozy"
Staff were very friendly and informative. We got to our room and it was smaller then previous room that we had stayed in but it was up to date and very clean. The bathroom is TINY!!! but extremely clean. No a/c but the room had a ceiling fan which was fine it was not hot during our stay. Very thin walls. We hear our neighbors being amorous with one […] another not exactly the show I wanted to catch. In walking distance to the liquor store, coffee shop, and great scenery. Great for biking. I really liked this place. it feels warm and welcoming. Free wifi is a plus!! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"where is the in room coffee maker?"
Not as satisfying as I would like it to be. Very noisy from cars below and people walking on the corridor talking. Also, this is the first motel I stayed with out a coffee making machine. I have to get dressed and run to the office for a cuppa.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The only good thing about my stay was that the room was clean. The worst part of my stay is that the bed was horrible! I felt like I was going to roll right off. I had a really bad sore neck for 3 days following my stay there. I also cannot for the life of me figure out why they charge to park your car overnight in their parking lot! That is absolutely […] crazy. It's not like they are hurting for room or anything. The other thing is that upon check in I was told I would receive some type of food vouchers for breakfast upon checkout the next morning. I checked out and there were no type of breakfast vouchers given. The price was cheaper than almost everything else around, but because the mattress was so horrible, next time I'll look for something better. I'm willing to spend an extra $30-$60 a night for a decent mattress. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice place, but careful of parking"
Very nice spot - especially if being right downtown isn't critical. Parking (which costs extra, btw) is difficult for large vehicles. We had a Chevy Silverado with shell on the back, and got stuck. There's an archway to pass through to reach more parking on the other side and the arch is not marked with height restrictions. So, at just over 7', we topped […] out. Not a good place for RVs or vans, etc. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"fine place to stay"
Nice clean updated room. Only two small issues, not enough outlets to plug in even a cell phone charger, had to move furniture to find an outlet and the bathroom shower stall door and toilet are too close to each other.Genuine Expedia guest review
"A decent overnight stay"
All California accommodation is expensive! In that context, this motel was reasonable value for money, in a location quite accessible from Highway 101. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. There was no aircon, which was unfortunate, though there was a large heater (that we didn't need to use). The staff were helpful and friendly, giving good […] advice about where to eat and telling us about the breakfast vouchers available for use in a nearby (incredibly pretentious and complicated) bakery/breakfast cafe. I'd use it again but would first look for an alternative. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great value, convenient location"
My finance and I decided to take a quick get-away trip for a few days. We found this gem of boutique-style motel located in the heart of the Coast Village area of Montecito. We were greeted with a warm welcome, and the service was excellent throughout our stay. Our room was small, but comfortable, and we had an ocean view. The pool area was beautiful, […] and the water was heated. The breakfast deal with a local restaurant was nice, and we enjoyed a morning stroll to the restaurant each morning. We would highly recommend this place, and are definitely looking forward to going back soon! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

small, clean, inexpensive and hits the spotGenuine Hotels.com guest review
For the price I found this establishment to be most satisfactory. Clean, quaint and friendly, accommodating staff. As others have noted, the walls are a bit thin, but if I could afford the Biltmore I'd stay there. I would definitely stay at the Coast Village again, as it's conveniently located.Genuine Expedia guest review
"old, No A/C, but okay for the price!"
We have a few gripes: First, this hotel didn't have any A/C and did not recognize on the site nor in the reviews. But Santa Barbara cools down pretty much during the evening so the ceiling fan was way enough to sleep in comfort. But kinda uncomfortable during the day especially when windows and doors are closed for privacy. Make sure to get the beach […] front to get the cool breeze of air. That should make it pleasant both day and night without a/c. 2ndly, although the bathrooms both in my room and even at the pool were very clean, there is some stinky scent in the shower stall. It was clean but our guess was odor coming from the shower drain. It smells sewerish but bearable. Not the disgusting type though. they are not pet friendly :( so my dog had to stay with my friends who booked at hyatt. All in all, it was a good decent hotel. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Great Price & Clean!!!"
Very clean hotel. Great location in downtown Montecito. Near Santa Barbara Zoo & Pier. Staff was very courteous. Only downside was room was a bit small. 2 adults & 1 child was probably max comfortable capacity in the double bed room. With that said, we extended our stay and have already looked into staying again very soon.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice & Quaint Hotel"
Staff was extremely helpful and courteous. The room was simple, but nice. We were situated upstairs and in the back side of the hotel. There were no elevators, so carrying our luggage was a bit of a struggle. There were no air conditioning, but a large ceiling fan. Since the weather was cool, this was sufficient. Parking was okay and can get a bit limited, […] considering we had to pay $3 daily for the parking. Overall, the accommodation was very nice with lots of eateries within walking distance of the hotel. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Good except for noise"
Everything about the hotel was very good - extremely friendly staff, clean and convenient... Only complaint is that part of the grounds includes a restuarant - which is actually very good (good food and service and fun) - but the back patio is amout 25 yards from the hotel rooms - and the screaming and very loud patrons til 1:00am was a bit much. When […] booking the rooms, it should be made clear to the guests that there may be restaurant/bar noice outside their rooms until after midnight (or the restaurant staff may do a better job of keeping their patrons more under control). Otherwise - nice hotel... Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
