"One night stay"
Only stayed one night so review is limited. Bathroom a bit tight and no air-conditioning. The overhead Fan was helpful but we couldn't find the remote to turn off the Light so the room was a bit warm. Otherwise clean and friendly.Genuine Expedia guest review

"A nice hotel close to the beach."
It was quaint but a little small for a nice bathroom. Otherwise was adequate.Genuine Expedia guest review
We had to go to Santa Barbara to pick up a surfboard and have dinner with friends, so we just needed a quick place to sleep for one night. I read the reviews prior to booking so I was well aware of the kind of accommodations we were considering. It was pretty much exactly what we were expecting and we were very pleased. It was conveniently located, […] a nicely updated room with remote controlled ceiling fan (no A/C, wasn't necessary). The hotel is older, but is clean and well maintained. The only complaint I have is one which was stated in the reviews I read before booking. There isn't a surface to place toiletries and personal hygeine items in the bathroom. There is a little glass shelf over the toilet, which is used by the hotel for complimentary tissue, soap, shampoo, etc. That is not reason enough for me not to return to this hotel. There is also a very nice pool. I think this hotel would make for a very romantic getaway. Too bad we could only stay one night. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"What a disappointment"
When we got to Coast Village Inn they stated that guest had to pay 3 dollars a night for parking. Once we got to the room, the fitted sheet was dirty with a big, noticeable brown stain on one of it's corners. The room didn't have a refrigerator (needed for my infant's milk) when I was told previously that it did. Overall experience: BAD.Genuine Expedia guest review
Response by Coast Village Inn - Santa Barbara Our sincere apologies for the misunderstanding of our policies and room amenities. The parking fee policy is listed in the Hotel Details page of the booking window on Expedia.com/Hotels.com, on our website, and upon registering for the room. The Room Amenities section does not list a refrigerator as a general amenity. Nevertheless, we have a refrigerator available in the office for guest use 24hrs. The stain is contrary to our excellent reputation of cleanliness. Nevertheless, our 24hr staff presence is readily available to remedy any guest issues or concerns.

"Very nice place for reasonable price"
We only stayed overnight but like this place for convenience and cleanliness. Rooms are nice looking (simple), too.Genuine Expedia guest review
We have nothing to say, just perfect location, service, room for the very reasonable price!Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Quiet and comfortable"
Nice quiet place even tho on the "main-drag". Good value. All units are one-bed.Genuine Expedia guest review
Perfect getaway with some friends. We were in town for the Amgen Tour Of California. It was the perfect location as the motel was just blocks from the race. This was our 2nd stay here, we will definitely come back again!!!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Not that good"
It's okayGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Perfect for our needs. Yes it is small and simple, but it is nice and the staff were very helpful and friendly. Great for a quiet weekend away, which is what we needed.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

Very quiet. Close to walking in village atmosphere just outside Santa Barbara. Nothing great or fancy, but for our trip it was convenient and worth the money.Genuine Expedia guest review
"QUAINT & CLOSE"
VERY NICE AND GREAT LOCATIONGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Rooms and bathroom are tiny, but very clean. Estimate this was built in early 1900's, Charlie Chaplin era but has been totally revamped. 4 out of 5 stars.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Response by Coast Village Inn - Santa Barbara Thank you for the feedback. The property was built in 1935 and was during the Charlie Chaplin era. In fact, our sister property just 2 blocks away, Montecito Inn, was built by Mr. Chaplin in 1928.
"Very Good overall"
Quaint, Staff very helpful. Parking tight and billed for, just charge me $3 more for the room, don't try to hide the cost with a $3 parking fee. View not. Bath was tiny. Overall a cute room. You have to enjoy Santa Barbra. It was on a busy street right off of the freeway. Resturants and some shoping on the street. Internet avalible. I would stay there […] agian. "Cute Santa Barbara Inn"
Hotel staff was very nice, rooms needed a little updating/maintenance but it was great for the price, compared to a lot of other hotels in the area. The hotel property was very cute. They were in the process of renovating their on-site restaurant so they gave us vouchers to eat at a nearby bakery, which was very nice.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Decent hotel with friendly staff!"
Very friendly staff, and I would probably stay in this hotel for its convenience to Montecito. However, do be aware that the rooms are small, and the bathroom is very small! Wish there was a fridge in room, too. However, if you are out and about all day and looking for a clean room with friendly front desk staff, this place would probably suit your […] needs. "good location, neighborhood, clean, nice pool"
The rooms are nice but very small. No space to hang out and relax or invite others in. Bathrooms are tiny with no place to put your toiletries. Rooms are very clean and nicely appointed but no AC so you have to keep a window open for ventilation and the windows are right on the walkway. Staff is very nice and helpful and you can borrow no-gears bikes […] for free. They also give you a $5.00 voucher per person for breakfast at a nearby coffee shop which is great. We've stayed there several times but will request a larger room next time. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Ok hotel with a parking fee"
The room was in good condition & comfortable but lacked privacy. The bedroom window had curtains but no blinds so at certain angles you could see from the outside in. The bathroom had blinds but no curtains. I liked the fact that the pool was heated to 80 deg. Guests can also go to a sister hotel which has a jacuzzi. One thing that really bothered me […] was that when checking in, staff told me everything was already paid through Expedia, asked for a credit card for incidentals, & asked me to sign a paper. I typically look over everything I sign but I must have overlooked the mention of a $3 parking fee. The following morning when checking out a separate girl asked if I wanted to use my credit card for the parking fee. I told her no one had informed me of a parking fee at which point she pulled out the paper I had signed. I told her perhaps they should have better customer service and actually inform their guests ahead of time; she gave me a half assed apology. I paid the fee but left thinking very poorly of the hotel because of that Incident. First of all, who charges for parking at a hotel? Second of all, if you're going to, at least be up front about it. Somehow I have a feeling that wasn't the first time they "forgot" to mention the parking fee when checking in. The hotel also doesn't offer a breakfast but does provide a $5 voucher per person to use at a restaurant down the street. The restaurant is a little pricy btw. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Quaint & good location"
We have been to the Santa Barbara/Montecito area many times, but this was the first time at this hotel. We knew the location was perfect and previous reviews were good. The room was nice and clean, although small, but not a problem. The bathroom was tiny...also not a problem for us...but it could be for someone over 6' tall...not much leg room. We would […] definitely stay there again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"No complaints whatsoever"
The staff was super friendly. Hotel was clean. The room was a little small but it was all we needed. Complimentary bicycle rentals and a free $5 voucher to eat at Jeannine's down the street. The food was amazing. Also, downtown is like two exits away. I rate my stay a 5/5. I will definitely stay here again next time I'm in Santa Barbara.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
It's not fancy, but it's well taken care of and in a great location. The rooms are a little small but I will stay there again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Santa Barbara overnight"
The hotel is nice. A little old, but very well maintained. You get a $5 coupon for breakfast at a local cafe two blocks away. Coffee in the lobby only. The bathrooms are meant for one at a time only. Small by normal standards, but very clean and every thing is there. A very good deal for the price. I will stay there again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Wonderful little hotel"
Very nice hotel. Our only complaint, is that the bathroom was very small.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
If you're looking for a clean, friendly and well located hotel at a great rate, your search is over! We had a great stay at Coast Village and plan to return on our next trip to Santa Barbara! Pros: - Perfectly clean - Bedding recently updated (photos are not up to date) - Staff very friendly and knowledgable - Newly added power outlets and USB charging […] cluster on the table for plugging in laptop and charging phones. - Well located, quick freeway access, a walk or 2 minute drive to Butterfly beach - Beautiful, clean and inviting pool - Nice views! Yes it's not ON the beach but we could see the ocean from room 23 - Bathroom amenities were great: hair dryer, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, makeup remover towelette, bar soap, iron and ironing board - Wifi username and password were easy to find in the room, wifi worked great - The price! Fantastic bang for your buck Cons: - Montecito is a beautiful and fancy neighborhood but expect the neighboring restaurants to be priced accordingly. - You can hear when people walk by your room and the housekeeping cart as it moves from room to room. We did not hear any noise from our neighbors though, so this wasn't a problem. - The shower head was really low! I'm only 5'7 and I had to bend my knees to get my hair wet. If they put in a handheld shower head instead it would be a win-win. Coast Village is a great place to stay, the pros far outweigh the cons and we look forward to returning! Hotel was very clean, but the rooms and bathroom,oh, so small! There was no place to place a curling iron but in the sink. No counter space. No full length mirror. Needs more shelves! The bed was very comfortable. The staff was nice, but it was irritating to be charged for parking. When I complained of a squeaky bathroom door, the maintenance man came […] right up to fix it and did. The breakfast was a coupon towards breakfast at a very nice bakery, so still not cheap. There were no decaf possibilities at the hotel and coffee only available in the office. The location was terrific. Pool looked fine, and very clean, but no hot tub. "Perfectly Quaint Little 4 Star (not 2) Motel"
The room was small but extraordinarily well accessorized. The staff was very congenial and pleasant. It is a beautiful neighborhood. The room was immaculately clean and well maintained. It is an older facility but the owners have excelled at remodeling and making the most out of the existing structure. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. That will […] be our first choice of motels if we ever return for another visit to Santa Barbara. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Coast Village Inn is quaint and very clean...it is just smaller (especially the bathroom) and due to the age, the shower didn't smell clean although it looked clean. However, the rest of the room was fantastic. They do not have air conditioning, which at this time of year is not a problem. You can't beat its location in Montecito...you can walk up and […] down Coast Village Road to all the shops and restaurants...and it is only a 5 minute drive to get down to the beach. It is the most reasonably priced hotel for its location. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Very charming well kept motel in Montecito--Santa Barbara's best address. Nice and helpful office staff. Good pizza across street and the best Chinese in SB within walking distance. Excellent bkfst and sandwich shop couple of blocks away. Right off the 101-fantastic location.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Clean, comfortable and affordable."
Nice to find an affordable place in an exclusive neighborhood. Friendly, knowlewdgeable staff. It would have been nice to have a coffeemaker and/or refrigerator in the room.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
I stayed here the night of an event I went to at the Biltmore. It was a great price for the location and for being in Montecito! It was only a $5 cab ride to the Biltmore. Staff was friendly and accommodating. It is an older hotel, so the rooms are average. They usually give a coupon for the restaurant next door, but they were closed due to renovations […] so they gave us a coupon to Jeannine's Bakery instead. I would definitely stay here again. "Very good location, but fee for parking"
The motel was clean and comfortable except for a very small bathroom. Upon checkout, we were charged $3.00 for parking at the motel. I have never heard of a fee for a motel. It was never mentioned until check-out. We could have easily parked in the street. It left a bad taste in our mouths.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotel is in a great area with walking distance to dining and shopping. You get a $5 credit for breakfast at an amazing bakery across the street. There was even a turn-down service. We would definitely stay there again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great looking small motel"
This is a cozy looking and small motel with great big pots of flowers all over the place, lovely pool and friendly staff. The linens are great without 73 pillows on your bed! I would stay here again when in Santa Barbara.Genuine Expedia guest review
The bathroom was microscopic and the position of the toilet so close to the wall that your knees hit the wall. If you are close to 6' tall you will have to sit sideways to use it. The bathroom light switch did not work correctly and needed to be flicked on and off in order for it to turn on the light. There is no air conditioner which made no difference […] since it was winter, but in the summer it would be an issue. There is, however, a ceiling fan which can only be turned on by a remote control which do not work correctly either. The cleaning staff was very loud early in the morning and woke us up several times. Overall, it was a nice place but would not go back. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Overnight Stay at Holidays"
This is a great little motel style inn, we would definitely stay there again if our friend's house is not available. We were set back from the road and on the second floor, so it was quiet. The room was clean, the staff very friendly and though the room decor is old, it is still charming. The downside for us was that it is not dog friendly and they […] did want to charge $15 extra/night for the use of a roll away bed for our 4 year old, so we had to bring our own inflatible bed and sheets, pillow, comforter, etc. But for the location and convenience to Montecito it is a great find. Everything you can ask for for an inexpensive stay. Clean rooms, comfortable beds, good service and great location. The building is a bit old, but has been well taken care of. The bathrooms are spotless and the staff jumps to please. Will stay again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

The hotel was nice. It was vintage, comfortable and classy. I liked it :) Coffee was good in the lobby area!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
this was a simple but cute and clean hotel room. it has the feel of a mix between a B&B and a motel. Simple rooms with a flat screen TV, clean bathroom, and attractive fixtures and bedding. the walls are a little thin but not a big deal. would definitely stay here again if i were in the area. overall great value.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Comfortable and clean."
This hotel is comfortable and clean inspite of being an older facility. We enjoyed our stay. It is very convenient and we will stay again in future.Genuine Expedia guest review
Would choose the apt. suite again. All rooms were clean and pleasingly decorated. King size beds were very comfortable in good size rooms. Kitchen and sitting rooms were great. House keeping staff were prompt and did an excellent job. Office staff very friendly and helpful. Loved that shops and restaurants were short walking distance.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
