"Nice place, big rooms"
The place was SUPER clean, quite nice, with power outlets all over the place and in general, the service was great. The room is quite big for being Paris. The guys at the reception were superb.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"I love it!"
Guys, this hotel is in a nice place, with plenty of metro stops around. I can just move across the city within minutes. There is a convenient store in the same block, open all night long.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Comfy hotel located near Metro stop..."
Staff was great, all fluent in English; room was bigger than others I visited; location was 75 yards delmonico Metro stop (Rome) making it easy to get anywhere; lots of shops and local flavor just on / around the block.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Parisian small, but very nice"
Wonderful American style shower & nice towels! Very clean, queen size bed room, with a little balcony for my friend to smoke on. Quite reasonably priced three star hotel, right up the street from a french bakery where we had coffee and croissants every morning except Sunday -(cheaper than the hotel breakfast). Three metro stops five+ minute walk away, […] & if you need a USA fast food fix, Starbucks, KFC and McD's are right up the way at Place de Clichy. There's an Enterprise Car Rental location a few blocks away, where we dropped off our car. Location is not far from the train station Saint Lazare in the Opera District. "Good choice in Paris's 8th district"
For two night stay, the hotel met all my needs. As noted, the rooms are small, but they are well designed and do not feel cramped for one person. The street is quiet, at least by Paris standards, and the windows offer good soundproofing. Opening the windows lets in a lot of street noise and not much breeze so its not as useful. Breakfast is ample and […] easy, the selections are typical of a French hotel. If you don't expect high luxury, and don't plan to spend your time sitting in the hotel is a good choice. It's a short walk to three metro stations and a slightly longer walk to many of the main attractions Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Small but convenient"
Rooms were super small but that was to be expected. Only one person on staff at any time and they weren't always super excited about answering questions. Was under the impression breakfast was included. Found out later it wasn't and cost 15 Euros for what was essentially a glorified continental breakfast. Skip it. In room coffee not provided which is […] a HUGE deal to coffee drinkers. Easily accessible to the Rome Metro station and from there it's 1.70 Euros to anywhere in the city which is awesome. "This one is a keeper!"
We arrived tired and a little anxious from our journey, but the concierge on duty was kind , helpful and reassuring. He gave us a brief summary of the basics and told us how to get around paris from the metro station two blocks away, ( Place de Clichy ) he offered to set up a taxi/ airport service van for our CDG departure and we took him up on it. […] The taxi service was excellent and it saved us the trouble of having to schlep to CDG via the Metro at night. The neighborhood is centrally located: Opera, Montmartre, Sacre Coeur, Moulin Rouge, etc, and most Metro rides will be short. The concierge staff will explain to you how to get everywhere and are pleasant and acommodating. There are cafes and restaurants nearby, as well as two supermarkets wthin two blocks. Au Printemps and other department stores are nearby as well. The bakeries you are thinking of are wthin walking distance two. This is not The Four Seasons. It is a clean, comfortable and professionally run small hotel. Be reasonable. I recommend this clean, quiet, basic, efficient and well run hotel. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Nice place, strange regulations"
Overall, a nice place to stay. Smallish room, but had a beautiful, quintessentially Parisian juliet balcony. Convenient to the M2 metro line, which made it easy to get places. Only detraction is that they had a couple weird rules that I hadn't seen elsewhere, which made the place feel less welcoming/professional. The hotel does not allow food or drink […] in the rooms, which isn't a huge deal, but is kind of annoying if you want to grab a pastry at one of the nearby boulangeries. It also makes it feel less welcoming--we found a bag of plastic forks in our room hidden behind the safe, where a previous tenant had clearly had food in the room and felt the need to hide the evidence from management. That's weird and not a way you want your guests to feel. Also, the hotel seems to have a permanent keycard system, and asks that you leave your key card at the front desk. We complied the first night, only to return to find our card (which was labeled with our room number) sitting at the front desk. From then on, we walked out briskly with our and didn't acknowledge the desk person to avoid the confrontation of telling them we didn't feel comfortable leaving the key to our room there. Advice to guests: ignore these two stupid rules and you'll have an otherwise normal, pleasant experience at a conveniently located and beautiful hotel. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Mediocre near Le Gare St-Lazare"
The hotel is located on a small street near the train station Gare St-Lazare. The hotel is very tiny, the room was clean, the receptionist was a zero and no help (I speak French), and the parking was at an expensive paid lot 4 blocks away. There were very nice restaurants a few blocks away. If you are passing through Paris for a day and need to be near […] that train station, then it would be convenient. "A very nice small hotel with an excellent staff."
The hotel rooms are small, but very clean. The bathrooms are modern and convenient. The air conditioning worked. The hotel staff is excellent. The hotel staff of Phillip and Alex do a wonderful job of accomodating the needs of the client and patiently answer questions and provide valuable information. "Nice hotel. Good location"
Close to Metro and in a decent area with lots of cafes, supermarkets and Street Vendors available at night. Room is small by American standards but clean and adequate. Decent value for the price in Paris. A wonderful restaurant Le Petit Turin down the street.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Easy affordable Paris"
Nice room overlooking quiet quaint street. Size was typical for price in Paris. Very clean & comfortable. Easy walk to most right bank sites but especially Gare St Lazare for train to Normandy. "Great close to city center"
Most importantly it is coveniently located heart of the city and close to transportations and tour facilities. They should have a separate concierge service as at the front desk we feel rushed to get tour guidance when other clients are behind us.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Very nice hotel, close to metro and restaurants"
We stayed a week in Paris. It was very small for American standards, but I guess very common for Paris. We had double room and it was enought for two people (but no more than two!). The room had everything needed for a comfortable stay - it was clean, had a shower and a little closet; It also had a TV, but no English speaking channels besides news :( The […] hotel was in walking distance to several different Metro stations and nice restaurants. It is located on the side street, however it got a little noisy in the early mornings with the garbage trucks (we had our balcony open and it woke us up). Nice neighborhood. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They answered all our questions and helped us to book a taxi to the airport. There is a free wi-fi. There is a breakfast at the hotel but we never used it - too expensive. You can get a nice French crossaint and a coffee in nearby bakery for less than 10 euro for 2 people. Overall - very good value for the money. We will use it again! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"This is an ok hotel not worth your $"
The staff is not very helpful even after adjusting for the typical French rudeness. Location is fine and there is a laundromat across the street. Several pattiserries near by but beware they all close at 9 PM.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Location to train and subway"

"Perfect for a few days"
We hit Paris running. So many things to see and it was the first trip since the 70's. The hotel was great. We walked to everything. The Eiffel Tower, Champs-Elysees, Place de la Concorde, Notre Dame, and montmartre. If you're staying longer, a larger room would be more comfortable.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Hotel Elysees, Paris - April 2014"
We needed another night and the manager would not give us Expedia's rate at the time of $190 USD; instead, he charged us 120 Euro's. I thought this was very unfair.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Easy walk to 3 metro stations"
Pleasant & helpful staff. Rooms are clean and modern. Nice street view, yet as quiet as you can expect at night. European hotel rooms are small, so expect that. Lift / elevator is also tiny but not a problem. Easy enough to find from any of three nearby metro stations, and a 20 minute walk or 30 minute stroll to Le Louvre. Would definitely return if […] we get the chance. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice hotel and good price"
Small rooms but had everything we needed for a short stopover. Enjoyed being in this part of the city a little off the beaten track. Manager was accommodating to our needs ands very helpful.Genuine Expedia guest review
I couldn't check in when I arrived to this hotel due to their system problem. The reception staff couldn't even explain if I would be able to stay the hotel that night because he had no idea that when the system was going to be fixed. He said there were other 10 people waiting and he hadn't been able to do anything. He was so frustrated and told me […] unhappily "I don't know how long it's going to take! It's not my responsibility to fix it. It's the technician's. Can you go somewhere for dinner or something?!" As I was very tired from the long international flight and it was already nearly 9pm I didn't wanna go out for a walk but I had no choice. I asked other hotels in the area if they had a room available but they were all full. Finally I found a hotel that just had a cancellation so I called Hotel Elysees Opera to request for the refund and the reception staff said "it's just going to be fixed so please come back". Their wifi didn't work on my computer and the reception staff didn't really have any knowledge to rectify the situation. Room service food is only from online delivery service (the hotel doesn't make any. They just order food online on behalf of their customers). There is no fridge in the room. I never recommend this hotel for business trippers. Just so stressful. I wonder if this hotel should be rated as a 3 star. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

Good location near 3 metro stops. Basic, European non-chain hotel. Room is basic with a full size bed and bathroom has modern fixtures and good water pressure. "Low Cost Three Star Hotel"
A step below 4 star hotels like Hyatt etc. This is a boutique three star hotel. Cozy. Space is small by American standards, but standard/roomy by European standards. It's about 300 yards from Liege metro stop on M13 line, which is fairly convenient. Room was clean. Walls a bit thin - you could hear the neighbors somewhat.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
