"Nice place, strange regulations"
Overall, a nice place to stay. Smallish room, but had a beautiful, quintessentially Parisian juliet balcony. Convenient to the M2 metro line, which made it easy to get places. Only detraction is that they had a couple weird rules that I hadn't seen elsewhere, which made the place feel less welcoming/professional. The hotel does not allow food or drink […] in the rooms, which isn't a huge deal, but is kind of annoying if you want to grab a pastry at one of the nearby boulangeries. It also makes it feel less welcoming--we found a bag of plastic forks in our room hidden behind the safe, where a previous tenant had clearly had food in the room and felt the need to hide the evidence from management. That's weird and not a way you want your guests to feel. Also, the hotel seems to have a permanent keycard system, and asks that you leave your key card at the front desk. We complied the first night, only to return to find our card (which was labeled with our room number) sitting at the front desk. From then on, we walked out briskly with our and didn't acknowledge the desk person to avoid the confrontation of telling them we didn't feel comfortable leaving the key to our room there. Advice to guests: ignore these two stupid rules and you'll have an otherwise normal, pleasant experience at a conveniently located and beautiful hotel. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"It's Paris, you shouldn't be in your room"
If all you're looking for is a safe, clean and somewhat convenient place to sleep after a day of site-seeing, this is the place. Helpful staff makes it even better.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Mediocre near Le Gare St-Lazare"
The hotel is located on a small street near the train station Gare St-Lazare. The hotel is very tiny, the room was clean, the receptionist was a zero and no help (I speak French), and the parking was at an expensive paid lot 4 blocks away. There were very nice restaurants a few blocks away. If you are passing through Paris for a day and need to be near […] that train station, then it would be convenient. Great room, great service, helpful staff and nice view. Only improvement t would be an offering of a breakfast or morning snack.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Easy affordable Paris"
Nice room overlooking quiet quaint street. Size was typical for price in Paris. Very clean & comfortable. Easy walk to most right bank sites but especially Gare St Lazare for train to Normandy. Staff very helpful with ready street map & directions to close metro stations & major tourist sites. Small lounge serves coffees & cocktails. Breakfast buffet […] large, good, fresh. "Great close to city center"
Most importantly it is coveniently located heart of the city and close to transportations and tour facilities. They should have a separate concierge service as at the front desk we feel rushed to get tour guidance when other clients are behind us.Genuine Expedia guest review

Cute hotel in fairly quiet part of Paris. Close to Metro with several little restaurants and a patisserie very nearby for those times you don't want to go far for food. Rooms are small but very modern and clean.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Very nice hotel, close to metro and restaurants"
We stayed a week in Paris. It was very small for American standards, but I guess very common for Paris. We had double room and it was enought for two people (but no more than two!). The room had everything needed for a comfortable stay - it was clean, had a shower and a little closet; It also had a TV, but no English speaking channels besides news :( The […] hotel was in walking distance to several different Metro stations and nice restaurants. It is located on the side street, however it got a little noisy in the early mornings with the garbage trucks (we had our balcony open and it woke us up). Nice neighborhood. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They answered all our questions and helped us to book a taxi to the airport. There is a free wi-fi. There is a breakfast at the hotel but we never used it - too expensive. You can get a nice French crossaint and a coffee in nearby bakery for less than 10 euro for 2 people. Overall - very good value for the money. We will use it again! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Great location. Very helpful staff. Lots of good restaurants near by. Wonderful Patisseries at both ends of street. Comfortable though smallish rooms. Great value.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"This is an ok hotel not worth your $"
The staff is not very helpful even after adjusting for the typical French rudeness. Location is fine and there is a laundromat across the street. Several pattiserries near by but beware they all close at 9 PM.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Location to train and subway"
Enjoyed it very much. The room was set up awkwardly and was a bit small but was clean with comfortable bedGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Perfect for a few days"
We hit Paris running. So many things to see and it was the first trip since the 70's. The hotel was great. We walked to everything. The Eiffel Tower, Champs-Elysees, Place de la Concorde, Notre Dame, and montmartre. If you're staying longer, a larger room would be more comfortable.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Hotel Elysees, Paris - April 2014"
We needed another night and the manager would not give us Expedia's rate at the time of $190 USD; instead, he charged us 120 Euro's. I thought this was very unfair.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Easy walk to 3 metro stations"
Pleasant & helpful staff. Rooms are clean and modern. Nice street view, yet as quiet as you can expect at night. European hotel rooms are small, so expect that. Lift / elevator is also tiny but not a problem. Easy enough to find from any of three nearby metro stations, and a 20 minute walk or 30 minute stroll to Le Louvre. Would definitely return if […] we get the chance. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice hotel and good price"
Small rooms but had everything we needed for a short stopover. Enjoyed being in this part of the city a little off the beaten track. Manager was accommodating to our needs ands very helpful.Genuine Expedia guest review
I couldn't check in when I arrived to this hotel due to their system problem. The reception staff couldn't even explain if I would be able to stay the hotel that night because he had no idea that when the system was going to be fixed. He said there were other 10 people waiting and he hadn't been able to do anything. He was so frustrated and told me […] unhappily "I don't know how long it's going to take! It's not my responsibility to fix it. It's the technician's. Can you go somewhere for dinner or something?!" As I was very tired from the long international flight and it was already nearly 9pm I didn't wanna go out for a walk but I had no choice. I asked other hotels in the area if they had a room available but they were all full. Finally I found a hotel that just had a cancellation so I called Hotel Elysees Opera to request for the refund and the reception staff said "it's just going to be fixed so please come back". Their wifi didn't work on my computer and the reception staff didn't really have any knowledge to rectify the situation. Room service food is only from online delivery service (the hotel doesn't make any. They just order food online on behalf of their customers). There is no fridge in the room. I never recommend this hotel for business trippers. Just so stressful. I wonder if this hotel should be rated as a 3 star. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"nice, small room / friendly staff"
the hotel staff waas very nice and helpful. for my purposes it was located a little far away from where I wanted to be in Paris but still a good place to stay. room is small but in good condition, the staff was so nice- printed airline boarding passes, called taxis, etc. very accommodating.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
I stayed there for one night and the room served its purpose. Old but clean.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good basic choice"
Good location near 3 metro stops. Basic, European non-chain hotel. Room is basic with a full size bed and bathroom has modern fixtures and good water pressure. Breakfast is charged separately and is OK. You can always walk to one of the nearby bistros and from 7 am get similar at the same price. "Low Cost Three Star Hotel"
A step below 4 star hotels like Hyatt etc. This is a boutique three star hotel. Cozy. Space is small by American standards, but standard/roomy by European standards. It's about 300 yards from Liege metro stop on M13 line, which is fairly convenient. Room was clean. Walls a bit thin - you could hear the neighbors somewhat.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Close to metro, not best amenities"
We enjoyed our stay at this hotel for the most part, but did not find all the amenities working or useful. The phone in our room was simply AWEFUL, we could not hear anything, it was LOUD static all the time, unusable. The bed was a bit hard, and the tv difficult to figure out. Overall room was smallish, but likely standard for Paris. The bathroom was […] clean and well done. Nice hotel. Room a bit tight. Reasonable rate.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The only three minor issues we had was there was no house coffee available (in or out of the room)...and no free continental breakfast...you had to pay 15 € for a breakfast, and it really wasn't worth the money. The third issue was a note in the elevator which said, "absolutely no eating in the room! We did find a […] nice bakery down the street, which we used each day for our breakfast. A good hotel for the budget. The location was fine within easy access of a Metro. Wifi was good. Breakfast was only adequate, so I'd suggest finding a cafe somewhere instead. Otherwise this hotel was fine.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

Excellent, friendly, great value for location and proximity to all areas of interest. Enjoyed our stay, looking forward to a return visit.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good part of town, shame about the wi-fi"
The only complaint I have is that the wi-fi didn't work. This wasn't a problem as I didn't go to Paris for the internet access. The room was comfy though space was at a premium; it really was a room for one. As for the hotel it is within walking distance of three Metro stations which could take you anywhere in Paris you wanted to go.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Charming tastefully decorated room, exemplary service from all especially breakfast attendant, great location, good value. Would love to return.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

A small but comfortable hotel, with friendly staff in a good location. Although the room was small, it was very clean and tidy. I'd recommend the hotel for couples looking for a quiet location that is well positioned for the Arc de Triomphe.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Excellent value for money in the heart of Paris"
Excellent stay. Room and service were first class given the room rate at the time of booking. Very close to Monmartre/Moulin Rouge/Sacre Couer. Would definetly visit again when next in the city. Only drawback was the air conditioning was not operational but the breeze through the bay windows made up for this. Spotlessly clean, tidy, comfortable and […] functional. "Good 3* hotel in the centre of Paris"
Comfortable hotel close to the Rome and Place de Clichy metros. "Not so bad"
I've stayed in Paris before and this hotel was a bit difficult to find. Also when we checked in the people were completely unprepared and didn't even have us in the system yet. We had to wait for him to find our bookings through their email system and then slowly one by one add our rooms in. We had our rooms booked for only two nights and the second […] night the keys didn't work so we all had to get the renewed. The hotel itself and rooms are great, the process to which we got to them not so much. There is barely any parking so if you plan on bringing your car there is a parking garage about 3 blocks away which isn't a bad walk but painful when if you have forget something in the car. The parking garage is secured with a man and cameras at the entrance and parking area and for the 2 in half days it only cost 54 euros which wasn't bad at all. The location of the hotel itself is decent but not great. It's pretty much a 10-15 euro taxi ride to any major site in Paris, but if your traveling with a couple friends it's not so bad. Forewarning if you plan on having guests or bring someone back to your room after a night of fun make sure you don't have a single occupancy booked because they won't allow anyone to visit after a certain time. All in all it wasn't a completely bad stay, the rooms are clean and the beds are comfy. For a quick stop and rest I would suggest it. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
