Attempts to have a quiet night in my room were thwarted by the loud noise from the atrium area which carried to the 4th floor (top floor) until late. Also, something was wrong with the elevators as they smelled terribly of burning rubber. I felt it was overpriced for the condition of the hotel.

We stayed whilst on holiday, family of 4, kids were 12 & 10, they loved the pool which they used everyday, it was a good size and has a lovely hot tub/jacuzzi on the side. Great location if you want to see the major historic bits like liberty bell and Penn's landings. Only a short walk to bus stop and underground for getting to everywhere else. Room was OK, nothing really special but without any problems if you are travelling and using this hotel as a base. Enjoyed the place.

I've stayed at this hotel before. It's a nice enough property but the day I had to spend extra time in the lobby doing business they were more worried about outside people using the men's room than taking care of the people that paid to be there. That aside, the room was nice and was very clean.

While I received excellent face-to-face service from every member of the hotel staff I interacted with, small issues here and there raised questions about organization, procedure, and upkeep. Upon checking in, I was first given a key and room that was still occupied, which I learned when housekeeping decided to knock for me since my key was not working. I was immediately given a new room on the same floor. Other issues included an extremely high daily rates for parking at the hotel, a hole in the bathroom door where a peg for hanging clothes had once been, and a defective deadbolt on the room door. Minus that last issue, all of these were really minor problems in an otherwise excellent hotel for out-of-town visitors without cars.

This hotel is right in the Old City, and is in walking distance of so many things! It's a few blocks from the historical sites of Philadelphia, as well as some great restaurants and nightlife. We had food and drinks at Tribute and The Blue Martini. Both were great (although we were partial to Tribute. We also walked down to South Street to do some shopping and grab Cheesesteaks at Jim's. The hotel was clean and nice. The room was comfortable and the staff was very friendly. There is complimentary internet in the lounge (with computers, you don't need to bring your own). The only suggestion I have is to park your car at the garage around the corner, as long as you aren't going to want to keep taking it in and out. To just leave it parked for 24 hours was about $15 cheaper than using the hotel's valet. We would definitely stay at the Sheraton Society Hill again!

This hotel definitely exceeded our expectations in all areas. It was located in the heart of the "old Philly" district and was within walking distance to all the standard attractions. The service was exemplary - one day it was quite rainy and the bellhop stopped us as we walked out the door and handed us two umbrellas, saying "You'll be needing these today." I've never had that happen in a hotel before. I was disappointed only in that the Internet acces is still not complimentary. In this day and age I expected it.
