I booked 2 rooms for my daughters bday party. I had a total of 6 kids and 2 adults. Once people started to arrive the manager had a fit because tehre were more than 6 kids. I told him not all were staying. I was then told even to use the pool, it was $15 extra per kid over the 6, even if they were NOT staying the night. Just to swim in the pool. I told […] him once everyone showed up, I would get a head count and stop back down. After about an hour, he started calling my room and telling the KIDS to tell me to come down. I was unhappy that he involved the kids. I argued about paying for the extra kids because no where did it say on the site that it would be extra just for swimming. We travelled with my family to visit with inlaws, my wife and I stayed in the hotel for 8 nights. Rate was great. Location was very convenient. The Cleanliness of my room scored low due to smelling as if it had been smoked in before. There were also a couple of burn holes on the arm chair that was in the room. Other than that, the place was great!

Okay. Not the cleanest or most beautiful hotel, but decent. The pillows were AWFUL!!! Had fridge and microwave in every room which was handy. Pool was supposedly only open 10am-10pm, but we swam until 11pm and again at 9am. The staff was friendly.

Room was in good shape. My gripes revolve around 2 things: The Internet was not very good or reliable. Also you had to watch a 30 second commercial with each device you log on with. Add that to the unreliable service, and I got to watch a few too many commercials. Which was very annoying as you had to watch commercial with each attempt to log on. Once […] on the speeds were too slow. The other complaint was the breakfast which was sub par due to lack of care of staff. I stayed 3 nights, each morning I had to request something which entailed waiting on staff as they were busy talking or helping other guests. Missing items, important things like plates, napkins, or food items. While I don't expect much usually food wise this hotel had standard waffles, bagels, muffins, cereal, coffee, juice, with a bonus of biscuits with gravy. Biscuits when available, were hard due to them sitting on the bottom of a crock pot like server buffet. They should of just left them with the bagels and muffins. Gravy as biscuits were scarce which called for a hassle to get staff to take care of it. Waffles while usually okay, they were not in this case as the batter was too watery. Which caused a lack of taste and ability to cook properly in the timed waffle irons. Note the waffle batter was out the first day so I had to ask staff to help. Coffee was not good either. While staff was nice, its really a hassle to have to ask for things often. Read more

The desk clerk was extremely friendly and helpful. Check in was a breeze. The room was clean. The hotel is very conveniently located on Blairs Ferry Rd. just off I-380. We have stayed here numerous times and never been disappointed. Helpful and pleasant check in. Extremely friendly and helpful front office. Loved the breakfast area and the rooms were extremely clean. Excellent location to get onto the interstate and around the area. I would recommend this hotel. Only item: We went swimming and not sure the pool was cleaned on a proper schedule, we did not like the indoor pool.

This was our favorite Days Inn & Suites on our 3 week trip. It is just off the interstate north of town. We liked the decor. The hotel looked clean and fresh. The halls were wider than some of the other hotels we'd visited. We happened to get a HC room. It had grab bars at the toilet and tub and had a 3' bathroom door. I was on the third floor. I'm not sure if they allow smoking or not, but the entire hallway and the elevator area for third floor smelled like a dirty ashtray. Thank god the smell ended there or I would have left the hotel. All the employees were very nice. Quick and easy breakfast in the am helped me say a few bucks too.

We just took a short 2 day trip to the Amana colories. The hotel was fine for what we wanted and right on the freeway. The freeway and roads in and around Cedar Rapids are messed up right now, but that's not the hotel's fault. The Mexican restaurant next door is good!
