Good location and nice to sit in the AZ heat for a few days. Security at the pool has policies and rules that don't entirely make sense, but there are ways around said rules. Walkable to bars and food.

Hotel was clean but pool area was dated with older furniture. We had a very positive experience with the staff after leaving an item in the safe after changing our room location. The entire situation was handled swiftly and professionally with a great outcome. Thank you.

Valley Ho is a great place and within walking distance of old Scottsdale. The energy around the pool is the best around. The only frustration I had was having to switch rooms in the middle of stay. I was booked under my clients for first two nights then decided to book an extra night through Hotels.com. I thought it would be no problem just staying […] in same room. The lady mentioned I was in an upgraded room? The only difference I saw was a balcony with maybe a better view of pool. I asked what would be easy for her to do and she said for me to 'change room.' That night I noticed only 12 cars in parking and the section I stayed in never became occupied. The same lady mentioned if I wanted to extend check out that to 4pm that the cost would be $50. The next day I asked and a new lady mentioned $25. I tried to mention the longer you extended my stay, I would make it up in food and beverage by the pool. Wonderful - great help from concierge, walking distance to Old Scottsdale, perfect home base for Cactus League spring training. Comfortable bed, sheets. Fun decor, neat remodel. Good room service food.

Had great time here over spring break with my family (wife and 3 teenage daughters). We split the week between Valley Ho an Az Grand Resort, and hands down the family agrees the Valley Ho was much more enjoyable!

Loved Hotel Valley Ho. A nice surprise was the quality of the food at the restaurant -- really great, healthy choices. Also, the service was excellent, and the front desk and car valets offer you cold bottled water every time you come and go. Great style, great pool scene, and lots of comfort.

What a cool place! The renovation of this mid-century gem left no details out. Very impressive and more like you would expect at South Beach or Vegas. The room was large and beautiful! Loved having our own outdoor space. We ate breakfast at ZuZu's and it was delicious! I worked out in the fitness center and the equipment was the best I've ever tried. We will definitely be back to the Valley Ho.

I didn't have a car and needed transport to my business meeting the next morning. When I checked into the hotel, I inquired about shuttle/taxi service. According to the front desk attendant, all I needed to do was to call the front desk about 15-20 minutes prior to my departure and there would be a taxi. Okay, so the next morning, I had a 9:00 am meeting […] and called the front desk to request a taxi at about 8:15 am for an 8:30 am departure. When I got to the waiting area outside, there was no taxi. Instead, the hotel called a car service that was going to charge me a (more expensive) flat fee. I was not informed about the car service and was obviously not given the option of a metered taxi. The valet guys eventually called for a taxi, but by the time the taxi arrived at the hotel, I was running late to my meeting. Needless to say, this experience caused unwanted/ unnecessary stress. So disappointing when it appears that a hotel cares more about making money than its customers. Read more

We had a fantastic time at this resort and will definitely return next year for Spring Training. It's ideally located near the ballpark and Old Town. The pool was great along with the rooms. In the future, go to the Circle K store across the street for all your sun screen and beverage needs. My stay was marred by a large and rather rowdy group of some kind. They made lots of noise and filled up the facility and were obnoxious. The hotel staff was as pleasant as they could be but they were overwhelmed and couldn't keep up. In the room and in the common areas, we enjoyed the details that had been maintained or refurbished in the recent renovation. We ate at Zuzu most of the time for four days and were well pleased with service and quality. There are plenty of other top restaurants in the area, but we were there to relax.

I know it has a reputation for being crazy during parts of the year, but it was really quiet over Christmas. And you can't beat the style of the place. My one disappointment was the lack of a coffee pot in the room. Thought it was a weird omission.
