High standards of customer service. Virtually no wait at the reception desk to check in or check out. I will mention one important glitch. My brother booked one additional night on Hotels.com and prepaid for the stay. However, the Fairmont still charged us for the extra night because it said it never received confirmation of the payment from Hotels.com. […] They promised to look into it and reimburse the payment if Hotels.com already charged for the room. I haven't heard back from them yet. We'll see how this works out. I'll be extremely disappointed if we get charged twice for the same night and we have to do all the legwork to get reimbursed. Overall, a nice stay in a great location right next to the Raffles Hotel in the heart of Singapore. We stayed in the North Tower, which is starting to show a little wear around the edges (carpets looking a little rough, shower drain didn't work well ). Apparently, the South Tower has recently been renovated. The staff was excellent.

Very pleased with hotel. Easy and fast check-in, great room, perfect location with Raffles City Mall right there with its shops and food courts, comfortable beds, friendly staff, and easy check-out. We stayed 4 nights and were very pleased with everything. We highly recommend the Fairmont.

Location is superb. Easy access to main attractions. Ground level mall is convenient. Three subway lines stop at this hotel. Gym and outdoor pool is great. Breakfast Buffet is good.

Bed was EXTREMELY comfortable, which is rare in Asian hotels. I asked for a quiet location and woke up around midnight on our 2nd night to a loud party going on next door. Called front desk and they said they would investigate. Noise continued and called again 30 mins later. Front desk promised to find party and put and end to it. I ended up calling […] 4 times and after 2.5 hrs, the noise finally stopped. I was not happy that it took so long to resolve the issue and I brought this to the attention of the manager the next day. The manager (Polly) was very apologetic. She was aware of my situation, and said she would see what she could to compensate for our inconvenience. We received a knock at the door about an hr later and it was room service bringing a bottle of wine with a fruit basket and a box of chocolates. I appreciated the kind gesture and thanked the manager the next day when I saw her, but I encouraged her to speak with her security to make sure they would respond and resolve the matter more quickly next time. We had one of the best times ever. I reserved a Signature room for my wife and I and our visiting daughter. I was pleasantly surprised, during check in, that we were upgraded to Executive Club. The 24th view of the marina bay was unbelievable for day and night viewing. Great service from all the staff. Beautiful room and view. Close to Raffles hotel for high tea. Also 5 mins to Marina Bay Sands for a great view and drinks. Also part of the Raffles city mall for shopping and many different restaraunts.

Nice hotel. Excellent location. Daily wireless internet a bit expensive at $23.47 US per day. Hotels.com said "Free wifi" but also "Internet Access (surcharge)". Apparently it was the latter, at least in the room. Perhaps it was also the former in the lobby area. I needed it in the room.

I would give this hotel a higher rating except for the terrible check-in. We arrived at 3 pm and after 20 min at the front desk, we were told to come back in 1 hour as they were just beginning to clean the room because they were at 100% capacity. I could understand if this was earlier in the day but if the normal check-in is at 3, then they need to […] be ready...Period!. Absolutely no way they should allow late check outs if you've got a full house. The room was fine but the North Tower is getting a bit dated. Carpet needs to be changed, and the bathroom needs to be completely gutted. The toilet flusher on the wall was stiff and difficult to push in, and the shower handles were all worn down and also difficult to manipulate. I always had to turn on and adjust the controls for my 8 year old. There was either a leak in the plumbing or the room upstairs had a flood as water had leaked down while we were out. On the bright side, it's location with an adjoining mall, and MRT is fantastic. Also, very nice pool area and gym. Read more

The first and most remarkable thing you notice about the Fairmont is the really excellent service. The staff are amazingly friendly and cannot do enough to help. They are there to greet you on arrival, they help when you need a sewing kit or cannot understand how to work the expresso machine in your room and they are there to help in the choice of breakfast […] and gave extra samples of the hotels brand of tea to take to the room, they suggest local places of interest to visit and really made the stay very special. Even though it was only a one night stay it was a memorable stay. Being so close to the adjacent indoor shopping centre and across the road from the original Raffles made the location an excellent choice too. We went on our honeymoon and stayed for 2 days. Our room was upgraded to the deluxe suite for the honeymoon. We received flowers and a kind thank you card from the hotel staff. The room was immaculate. The bed was super cozy. The service was top notch, from the welcome drink to the breakfast to room service to the pool. There are decent views from the […] balcony, but we also stayed at the Swissotel which had far better views but the hotel quality was not nearly superior. Plus it is really convenient being right on top of the mall, trains, and near all the downtown activities. This is a beautiful hotel, and we received an upgrade without having to ask. The view of Singapore from our 15th floor room was gorgeous. The staff was very helpful, check in was fast and easy, and arranging transport with lots of luggage to the airport very early the next morning was no problem. The room service dinner was exactly as ordered and on […] time, however was very expensive for just a simple dinner of burgers and fries. Concierge was very helpful during our stay. I had messed up a couple of the tours and he called and made things right. The door man was also very helpful in that I didn't have the right amount for my cab fare when I pulled up and he paid the cab driver out of pocket and waited till I got upstairs and met up with my husband to get the money to pay him […] back. Hotel room was very nice and really liked that it had a refrigerator and freezer, microwave, and small stove with all the dish ware provided. We had friends staying at the Fullerton hotel which in my opinion had a nicer lobby, but the room was not as good as ours. They did not have the fridge, stove, and microwave. Location was terrific and pretty centrally located. Really liked that there was a full mall downstairs with good food court. My husband and I tried out the pool. It's a little on the small side and the fountains were not working which would have made it look nicer. I had a Singapore Sling poolside and the on site bartender, she did a good job making it. It wasn't too sweet and very refreshing. We also got massages at the Willow Spa. A couple of the best massages we have had. The only negatives we noticed were that the bath tub drained very slowly with water build-up whenever someone showered. Also, there is a charge for in room wi-fi which is really expensive. Most hotels give the service for free and I think the Fairmont should also do this. There is a charge for use of the in room safe. This should be free. Read more

Had a staycation here and while i was pretty bummed I didn't get a city view as requested, I can't complain about much else. Would definitely recommend this hotel to tourists as it;s a great base for travelling around as the train station is just below!

Everything worked amazingly well, including the power drapes and lighting all controlled bedside. Views were fabulous. Meals are expensive in Singapore and more so at hotels but their buffet was extraordinary. Registration was smooth and Jovine was the best ever!! Shower was best I have had in any hotel. Water is potable, unlike much of the world.

Appearance totally perfect. Great view from room. The Devil is in the Details: there is NO mirror in the huge room, just in the poorly designed, huge bathroom. The bathroom basin, a glass bowl raised above the counter, looked beautiful. Using it left soapy drips or water drops on the counter. The shower, a large room-like space, with the main shower […] head suspended from the ceiling also had a hand-held shower with only one mounting setting which could only be directed at the middle of the side wall when NOT held. The way too soft King bed, located in a cramped alcove area, limited access to the only closet, which resulted in legs getting scraped on the edge of the bed to avoid the TV cabinet. You can't get a better location in Singapore - the Fairmont is directly above the City Hall MRT station (you don't need to go outside to access the subway) and a pretty impressive mall. You are directly across the street from the Chijmes shopping center and the Raffles hotel (birthplace of the Singapore Sling!), and a quick taxi ride or 15 minute walk […] to CBD or Clark Quay. The rooms are very comfortable and have a bedside central control system to manage the air temp, lighting, and privacy/do not disturb signage for the cleaning staff. My taxi ride from the airport only cost about 25 SGD. I don't have any complaints about my stay here, and would gladly choose to stay here again when visiting in the future. Read more

In the Colonial Section of Singapore across the street from the historical Raffles Hotel, the Fairmont was a comfortable and quiet hotel after a 24-hour flight. We walked north and south to the ethnic neighborhoods and to the river. The adjacent Raffles Mall had many interesting eateries. Lots of in-room amenities.

Hotel is in great location near just about everything. Rooms are well appointed. Not as big as advertised but spacious enough. Hotel kept very clean, but showing alittle sign of age. Still a great property.

The staff was superb! The doormen, bellmen, cleaning crew, clerks, everyone was very nice. Everything we asked for was provided in a very pleasant manner. The location is so very convenient. We will definitely return to the Fairmont Hotel.
