This is a very nice hotel and convenient to the Blue Line. BUT the WiFi in the room is very difficult to get to talk to you - very poor connectivity and when you finally get on they want $10 a day to use it. Also I had a room that would sleep 4 people and they left enough coffee for one cup! Actually that is not true they left a one cup packet of regular and a one cup packet of decaffinated.

Unadvertised parking fee that is very, very high for the area (lots of hotels near O'Hare have free parking). Then, when we are in a hurry to get out and catch our flight, the parking lot attendant refuses to accept the stamped ticket to exit, and we have to pay AGAIN. No time to argue with the attendant, get the manager, etc. We just have to suck it up and pay AGAIN. Needless to say, strongly recommend avoiding the Westin O'Hare.

I try to stay in lower priced places for the free in-room wireless.

This hotel was outstanding in cleanliness, service, and price. However, I feel the reason we got such a good price was because we had to pay for a lot during our stay. The parking was $20 a day for hotel guests??? I thought that was way too much. I would rather them include that in my initial reservation cost than tell me I am going to have to pay $20 a day for parking. Also, room service pricing was unreal. The food was delicious, however, I paid $6 for probably 2 ounces of orange juice, no joke! Pool area and hot tub were great!

This is a very nice hotel. We enjoy staying here as it is close to the CTA transportation. They have a nice pool and fitness center. You have to pay for internet which I feel should come included in the price of the room. We don't like the high prices for room service, not having a refrigerator that we could put things in. We didn't see any vending machines and they charge an excessive rate for the stocked refrigerator (which you can't put any personal items such as medications in). They do have a refrigerator for that but not in our room.

There are no (or very little) exhaust fans in bathroom cauisng the paint to peeloff the ceiling and encourage mold to grow on the pictures hanging on wall. The concierge was very helpful and nice and there is a business section that is free to use. We did not know there was a fee for putting your own drinks in the frig. but when we explained weour ignorance they did not charge us. When we checked in, we were extremely happy about how nice this hotel is. Beautiful room, awesome bed, clean, etc. The only complaints we have are the room service prices (outrageous!) and that no one told us that it is $20 per night to park (yikes!), and that we were not told that the train to downtown was under construction. We got conflicting advice on how to best get downtown. I had planned on using the train exclusively to save $ so I wasn't too happy. It was frustrating, especially since many employees do not speak/read english fluently. Our advice is to check the "L" routes you plan to take and just give yourself extra time if there is construction because you will get shuttled by bus to the affected stops. Wish someone would have told us this before we drove into the city. We tried the train the second time in and it wasn't a big deal, just longer.
