The hotel was not inexpensive (about right for its downtown location, though), but I felt nickel-and-dimed with expenses. Parking was full, so had to pay to park in the vertical lot across the street, with no credit from hotel. Had to pay for in-room WiFi. "Convenience items" in the room exorbitantly priced. Ended up paying essentially 50% more than advertised room price.

The in room hvac was a touch fussy when it went off but not really enough to be disturbing. Hotel guests should be made aware of how much their voices will carry in the part of the hotel that is circular. This is probably not a huge issue most of the time but good to know. I was disappointed not to have free Wi-Fi.

Decent hotel in the middle of downtown. Staff was friendly, check in and out was fast and food in resteraunt was excellent. Valet parking is a little steep at $32.00 but it is Atlanta.

Attractive facility. Spectacular view. Courteous staff. Clean room. Comfortable bedding. Walls too thin for sound. Tried to reach front desk three different times with no answer. Parking garage too narrow and small for the capacity of the building. Would recommend the Westin to others!

The hotel staff were wonderful. We had a stellar experience at Sundial for dinner. Our room had a beautiful view of downtown. The bed was "heavenly". Because it was our birthdays, our rooms were upgraded once we checked in AND we received complimentary breakfast the following morning. Just a great experience all around. The only con would be that we waited in the valet line for over 30 minutes to get our car at checkout.

We came for a "staycation" visit during valentines weekend. Which happened to fall on a cheersport competition weekend. I felt that took away from our experience quite a bit but perhaps I should have checked online in advance before booking the room. Dinner at the sundial was a really wonderful and perhaps hands down the best experience from our stay. Another complaint is ordering room service and it taking an hour and a half for it to come to the room. Next time we'll probably go stay at a cabin or air b&b.

The hotel was beautiful and the shower pressure was amazing. I really enjoyed the floor to ceiling windows and the view from the 63rd floor was gorgeous. The only problem, which is kind of a big deal if you are trying to have a romantic getaway is that the walls were paper thin. My wife and I could hear the entire conservation of the guests next door who weren't even speaking loudly.

We had a room on the 58th floor and the view was incredible. The only negative I can note is that the rooms are not as soundproof as would be expected. This may have been due to adjoining rooms/doors on both sides.

Room was clean and comforting with a great view, even the staff is very helpful with the changes in preferences on arrival they will help happily. Just one compliant the hotel was little deteriorating in its maintenance. For the price they charge they should keep better maintenance.

Was disappointed with my stay here. The location was convenient but was a bit dissatisfied. I tried to order room service, called for almost 10 mins and no one answered. I finally had to go down and order it at the front desk. (Even the front desk wasn't answering the calls.) Saturday night I didn't get any sleep. It was super noisy.

Great Views and great beds and good location. The food was decent and staff was friendly. We had an elevator problem that caused a 15-20 minute delay getting down from the 49th floor but otherwise uneventful. Bellman and valet was great but a little slow as hotel was crowded.

The front desk staff was clueless. I needed to change rooms and get a charge that wasn't mine removed from the bill. They seem like easy things that happen everyday but it took at least 3 people and much longer than it should have to get it done. Also there was chipped off nail polish on my floor that is probably still there.

We stayed at the Westin recently when we travelled to Atlanta for the Peach Bowl. We loved the convenient location.....we could walk to the Georgia Dome and to lots of convenient restaurants. The food in the lounge and from room service was great.....some really GREAT desserts! The staff was friendly and helpful, the lounge/restaurant at the top of the hotel was great with amazing views, and the fitness center had plenty of equipment to choose from for a workout. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed this hotel. Only negatives to the stay were, 1) there is no spa in the hotel facility....it is off-site, 2) the bed and bedding was not nearly as comfortable as I recall Westin having in their other hotels, 3) housekeeping didn't come to clean our room one day until almost 4 PM (by that time we were back in the hotel and didn't want to leave the room), and 4) we requested a fan from the front desk (for white noise....our stay was over the New Years holiday and the hallways were loud with people), but we never received a fan or a call back from the front desk.

Front desk clerk not friendly at all until I engaged her in conversation, very long line at check in, check in took waaaay to long, far too much clicking/typing on the computer to check in for all 3 staff, an Africian American couple got into a shouting match like something you would see on TV and no staff moved them to a private situation and the front desk clerk said, "welcome to my world" We were stunned. Starbucks staff very, very friendly and happy at 7am, valet parking computer down at check out and a very long line but parking staff was very friendly and helpful with dining/drinking locations and directions, room was perfect, have dined upstairs in the past and it has always been exceptional but did not take advantage of the option this trip

We were there for a football game. Location was great but it stops there. Self parking was horrible. And the in and out charge each time is gouging a bit much. Plus the parking spots were very very small. Very noisie hotel. Lots of noise from the street and we were on the 40th floor. Good was just OK and very overpriced. Nice resturants in the area so I suggest you try them instead. Need more restrooms on the lobby floor where the bar and restaurant is located. For the price I paid, I could have saved $$ and got more value.

Awesome room and great location. Fire alarm went off several times throughout the night and we had to walk down 24 floors before being told it was a false alarm. Could have handled that a bit better instead of just calling the rooms and leaving a message.

Forgot to comment on the bathroom in my prior review. Bathrooms are a small including the door into the bathroom (I'd say it's about 2/3 the size of a regular door). The showers are outfitted with a dual shower head where you can choose a rain type (overhead) which as the name implies, like being rained on very lightly. If you have much hair, this one is not for you. You can switch it to the wand which is ok but difficult to aim. We did find out that you can manipulate it to be more shower head like. Wish I had figured that out before my shower :) The rooms of course are dimly lit just like all hotels tend to be. Hard to find the embedded electrical sockets in the dark furniture in the dark room. Room was comfortable though.

Getting into this hotel during a busy event time (bowl game/New Years) is difficult. One way streets and dense traffic combined with unfamiliarity of the area made getting to valet parking very trying to say the least. Once we got in, all was great with the hotel and service. We had two rooms. My parents were unable to get in their room after check in because the swinging security bolt had apparently swung over when their door when it was last closed (locked from the inside). I figured help wouldn't arrive for at least an hour but we were pleasantly surprised that they were there to help in about 15 minutes. The only option in these situations seems to be breaking into the room. One complaint I would have is that the lobby bar seemed understaffed for so much going on in the downtown area. There was constantly a line at the bar and tables weren't being cleaned. Wait service was nowhere in sight. It was also difficult to get elevators in a reasonable amount of time. Elevator traffic was difficult as well. People were getting on the Up elevators to go down because the Down elevators were either packed or taking extended times.

The sheets were Dirty. It took 3 trips to the room (one wrong size delivered, and another set with stains) before we got a good pair of sheets. We also had to put them on the bed ourselves. The mattress was very hard and uncomfortable.

Upon arrival we were told that the valet parking was full -- that was only after we flagged down a bellman on the street since there was no one that was polite to direct us or help us. We were told we could park across the street in a parking garage, they did offer to assist with bags but because of the parking location and were we had to pull up for them to get bags, that was not feasible with current traffic. After carrying our luggage down the parking garage, across the street, and into registration our experience did not get any better. The clerk at registration was not nice, offered no apology for the valet situation, did not offer to call anyone to help with our luggage, and did not even tell us where our room was. She simply asked for our credit card and gave us keys -- nothing else. The room was clean and very nice. After dinner the first night we decided to come back to watch an in room movie; after settling down for the night, we found out the in room movie service had quite working. We called and were told it was down and would be back up in the morning -- again no apology or offer to do anything for us to make up for the inconvenience. At checkout morning there was no bill under door, we called and were told we would have to come back to registration and wait in line if we wanted a receipt. Definitely not the experience you would expect from a 4 star hotel.

The accommodations were nice. We were on the 65th floor and had an excellent view of the city. Beautiful sunset. The view was absolutely the best part of our stay. The service however was very poor. It took over 40 minutes to get checked in. The valet team left a bag in the car and hotel policy wouldn't allow them to bring it up. Each time we left despite the fact we called 15m early, the car wasn't ready downstairs. there was so much confusion and lack of organization each time we had to find someone and just ask for our car keys. We paid $32 for valet but it was not convenient at all. We ordered roomservice. It took forever and when it finally arrived the order was wrong. So it took even more time. When we ready to checkout it 10m for them to answer the phone to recieve our request for baggage assistance. 20m later we had to callback because no one showed. When finally got there to take care of us we had another 15 delay at valet It was a beautiful hotel with excellent view but the staff is overworked and frustrations with the delays would likely prevent us from staying there again

The registration employee did not tell us about the key requirement to use the elevators to get to our floor. We spent about 45 minutes going from elevator to elevator trying to figure out why it would not move. Thankfully another registration employee saws us and asked if we needed help. The room was dusty all around. You had to walk sideways to get in to the bathroom. WiFi use was extra. Our cell phones lost charge while they were plugged in to the outlets. The comforter stunk like arm pits. Room service only made the bed-- they did not replace the bedding with new/clean ones and did not bother to dust the room.
