"The pool is a hidden paradise."
I'll admit, it took me a while to find the swimming pool. It was tucked away on a covered rooftop that I had to take two separate elevators to get to. Location is good ... other than that this was the worst maintained and most over-priced hotel I have ever stayed at and I'm age 67! The telephone kept not working, even after they "fixed" it by pulling and replacing the battery. I think they need new batteries because the old ones don't seem to hold a charge. This is a very expensive hotel for what you get. Not one thing stood out about the room except how small it was. And the fact that wi-fi is not free here. My review may be skewed b/c the hotel is under construction but I have stayed in much better hotels that were not as highly recommended as the Peachtree Westin. The heavenly bed was awesome but having a bathroom that had dirt embedded in the tile grout and soil on the wall was a bit much. Also, my room did not have a tub......not that I would have used […] it with the tile being dirty, and there is no trash can in the bathroom. I initially started to request another room but decided not to seeing that we were just there overnight. The fitness center was average. Thank goodness we did not pay full rate for the hotel. My boyfriend and I went to Atlanta the weekend before Christmas as a present and we got our room for a great price! Since we are more from the country side we had no idea a hotel would charge you for parking, it was kinda like that to good to be true situation. If you parked yourself you were charged $22 each time you come and go valet was $36 I think […] and if you lost your ticket it was $66. "Just wow ... in a negative way"
We knew the lobby was under construction but so did the hotel. It was a cluster from the time I pulled in until I left. You are not allowed to check in and park later unless you are using valet parking. I can just imagine how hard it would of been to get my car in a timely manner. Most of the workers speak limited English. I was not allowed to take […] up my own luggage and then trying to track it down got me hung up on by customer service. There was hair in the bathtub and nasty mirrors in the restroom. There were no robes or slippers in the room as listed on hotels.com. The elevator area needs signage. I have stayed in this hotel several times in the past and this experience was the absolute worst ever. There was also a hold placed on my debit card until I called to complain. Very nice rooms and amazing location. BEWARE- the parking garage is very steep price wise and has NO ELEVATORS so we had to walk our luggage down the driving ramps 6 floors and hope no cars were whipping around the corner. Incredible that there are no elevators for $22 a day. The elevators in the hotel are quick but confusing. We were disappointed that […] there is no jacuzzi or hot tub in the hotel with the pool. I've never seen that before. The staff was terrific. There are no exhaust fans in the bathrooms. A great view of the city, terrific location, and the spinning rooftop restaurant is amazing.
