This is not a hotel we would ever go back to. The bathtub had soap scum in it the water pressure in the bath and sink was low,. The people in the room next two us and down the hall screamed and slammed doors until two in the morning, it was like a frat house on our floor. We called the front desk and complained and they said they would send someone up, but still at 2 ;30 in the morning doors were still being slammed by other guest.

Spacious, comfy room. Lovely bathroom. Little cafe and a fedex store right in the lobby--very convenient for business. Valet was efficient and kind. The front desk/care line are a little blasé, but I didn't really need anything complicated, so that wasn't a problem. I didn't get a riverview room and the view was still just lovely.

The rooms were nice and clean. The problem was parking. When we arrived, we were on a tight schedule, and valet was the plan. We discovered that the valet AND parking garage were filled. After driving around downtown aimlessly, I finally settled on a parking meter a few blocks from the hotel. When checking in, I obviously inquired about parking, and asked why a hotel like the Westin wouldn't have ample parking for their guests. The woman at the counter told me that they rent the garage, and couldn't guarantee parking for their guests. The rude demeanor she displayed was not a good start to our hotel stay. I ended up having to park in a garage nearly a mile from the hotel. Not good. I would not want to risk this happening again. Yes, the hotel was nice and all that, but the convenience side of it was truly awful, not to mention the snooty 21 year old girl at the counter.

Con: 1) Beds are comfortable but if you have a bad back they are so soft you will be in pain the next day. 2) Elevators are slow. Give yourself an extra 5 minutes just for the elvators. 3)Valet is a ripoff ($24). Better to self park($6) since the cars all end up in the same lot.

The Westin is a well-known, well located hotel. The lobby and other public spaces are just fine; however, the guest floors could use some upgrading. Some of the "modern" decor is simply worn and cheap. The express checkout info I was supposed to have received never appeared. I stayed on a weekend when it appeared that there were few guests, and yet the room rate was higher than expected for what the hotel delivered. I would look elsewhere on my next trip to Cincinnati.

The Westin definitely sells itself as your hotel to pick with their signature Heavenly Bed® and Heavenly Bath® accommodations. Well, the shower was just a dual head shower and nothing special since the shower heads are both on the same side. I was not impressed. More importantly, the bed we slept in was far from heavenly. The pillows were lumpy, and when I say lumpy think of it like someone shredded foam chunks and stuffed them into a pillow. This was disappointing. If you're looking for a hotel on fountain square, near Cincinnati’s business district, this is as close as you'll get. But for the price, the comfort was seriously lacking. I'd say I've slept better nights in a Holiday Inn.

We stayed at this hotel during our recent trip to see family in Cincinnati. It was very convenient to the Reds stadium so after we went to a game and a few bars there we were able to walk back to the hotel. There was an issue with the charges but once I discovered this problem the lady up front took care of it immediately. She was alone up front and tried to find help but couldn't. However, she did what she could and was able to fix the problem and still get to the other customers in line in a timely manner.

The hotel is in a great location, easy walking distance to a lot of things. We were in town for the Cubs/Reds series, so it was just a short walk over to the ballpark. The hotel was great, except getting an elevator when we got back from the game was difficult--mainly because there were only 3 elevators and about 40 other Cubs fans who'd just gotten back to the hotel after the game who were also waiting for an elevator. We asked the front desk if there were stairs we could take instead, but they told us that they "strongly recommend all guests use the elevators" and didn't offer up info on where the stairs were. Other than that minor inconvenience, we loved the hotel. They have the best room-darkening drapes in their rooms!

I have stayed with several Westin hotels around the country and this one did not meet expectations. The furniture in the rooms and toiletries were all the same, yet the condition of the rooms was not up to par. The heater was not working properly, the faucets were loose from the wall and sink counter top. Staff was very polite, but the condition of the hotel cancelled that out. Additionally, half of the hotel is facing other condo buildings. So, your view is of fire escapes.

This hotel was in a very central location in the Cincinnati downtown area. It was within walking distance of many sporting and theatre venues. There is a wide variety of restaurants located nearby. The only downside was that there didn't seem to be a late night lounge area. You could go to the bar in the McCormick and Schmick's that was part of the hotel, but that wasn't very convenient or there was a very small lobby bar, which was essentially a bar similar to what is set up for hotel events. We were looking for a late night coffee after a concert and that just wasn't available through the lobby bar, due to its limited facilities and the coffee shop was closed by then. We were disappointed by that, but otherwise our stay was excellent and the value was excellent as one of our two nights was via using a free night earned through other hotel.com stays!

The Westin Cincinnati was a typical Westin - nice room, comfy bed, decent service. But the backside of the hotel has some VERY nasty views (run down empty apartment building, alley), so be sure you check the view before you accept the room. I finally got the hotel to give me a better room, but it took a lot of work. I'm sure it's great for business travelers, but I was on vacation and the view, plus the fact that it's part of a larger office building, made it not optimal for vacation travelers. Elevator was incredibly slow. Rock Bottom Brewery across the plaza was great.

Every time we passed the lobby, there was a long line to check in. The bed was very comfortable, and the shower was large. The rest of the bathroom was cramped. From our room, we had a great city and river view. Use the underground city parking, it's much cheaper than the hotel valet, and the elevators from the garage take you right to the lobby.

Overall the Westin was a nice hotel, probably more so for business travelers. (Only one chair in the room, so two people could not read at the same time.) Have to say that while the desk clerk was very friendly and helpful at check-in, she was the only staff person we ever saw, other than the bellman at the curb who directed us to very inexpensive parking. Granted it was a Saturday downtown, but everything seemed deserted...other than some folks ice skating in Fountain Square. The seafood restaurant around the corner was terrific...a great meal.
