We absolutely loved our stay. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful and the bed was worth the money itself. Bathrooms are a little dark, and have to walk to a Dunkin Donuts because Starbucks is outragous. We did call down to the desk to see if we could walk around with a drink if we bought one from the bar and she said no...later found out we […] are allowed anywhere on premises. When checking in sign up for their free membership and get free in room internet. This hotel is an excellent location for staying in Boston on vacation. It has all the amentities as well. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. They readily offered the 3:00 checkout which was helpful since we had a 7:00 p.m. flight out. The only drawbacks were related to the room comfort. The rooms were small for a full service hotel and the […] restrooms were extremely small for any type of hotel. Additionally, although we reserved the Double Room, we requested 2 queens. We didn't get the queens, which is fine (nothing we could do about it), but if you are sharing a double bed, it's not a great deal for the price. Most hotels offer King and double Queen options since 2 people in a double bed is usually uncomfortable. Or at least the double at a lower price. "Great location, Jr. Suite roomy"
We were happy to find a good location for walking around Boston in a nice area. The room was spacious with two queen beds and a nice couch with some floor space to spare (perfect for me to roll out my yoga mat). The price seemed fair for summer and having three people in a room so that worked great for us. Two things that bugged me were they offered […] when you check in "going green during your stay" and not having daily room service clean your room each day. Now I get that basic concept and never being offered that (and tired after a long flight and a bit caught off guard) we said okay. You can change your mind at anytime during your stay, but the more I thought about it I felt it way a way not to have as many housekeepers (since we made our own beds each day and kept track of our towels). I just see more and more companies cutting corners to save money and not paying employee benefits to use the term "green" to make people think it's good. I don't know improbably reading too much into it. Also many hotels we've stayed at in the past have included free wifi, Westin does not. $14 a day for up to three devices. Phones you usually have your own access, but I couldn't use my iPad without the wifi. They do have two computers in the business center with a printer. I think there's a fee to use them. Unless you just need a boarding pass, those you can print for free. Our stay was nice, the room was clean and roomy with a nice view. I would stay again when in Boston. "The WORST Hotel-Stay Experience"
We stayed couple nights for July 4th weekend. Our neighbor on the 31st floor decided to have a party inside their hotel room with loud music, bunch of guests, casual conversation, acting like they were at any public bars. Extremely distributing. They either kept the door open late at night or slammed on the door before 7am in the morning. We complained […] numerous times to the hotel, including in person at the front desk couple times, but no actions were taken by hotel staffs that stopped this unacceptable behavior. My friends and I were in Boston for the 4th of July. The Westin was the perfect place for our weekend. The location is right by everything....especially train stations. Everyone from Reservations/Check-in to the Baggage drop off were super nice and helpful.
