"perfect location"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Feb 19, 2013
they gave me my room early. some staff not at all friendly. some great. tour desk girl takes long lunches. some staff not knowledgeable about area. don't let the hotel book your taxi transfer to airport. they add a tax that is not disclosed. go out to valets. pool area great. super view. even opening the refrigerator triggers a minibar purchase even though reception says is does not. my room had a fabulous view, great shower, and super comfy bed. the hotel is the night time place to be and yet, the guest floors are quiet. restaurant and minisupers right outside front door--even a mc cafe. great price for what you get.

People were friendly and helpful, rooms very big and nice, 2 king size beds. Towels and linens nice and clean. AC worked great and it was very quiet at night. Food in restaurant good. Difficulty getting internet access. Out of water for a while, but they fix things fast. Room key did not work, but got fixed later. Water park in back was open Sunday and it is very nice for kids, it was busy, but friendly atmosphere. Overall a pleasant stay.
"Needs a few tweeks"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Jan 10, 2013
Over all I enjoyed the stay. The biggest thing that detracted from the stay was that the pool was shared with the surrounding community at large. I expected a pool that was private to the hotel when they advertised a pool; that was misleading. Unfortunately that meant weekend were crowded with all kinds of people; it was like being at a YMCA pool in the summer. Not very relaxing. Also, the rooms need to be mopped daily. Sweeping does not remove the black sand from the floors and my feet were blackened just from walking on the ceramic floors. The staff were very nice. I liked the location as well for dining and it was close enough to the city.

"Great Suite"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Aug 21, 2012
Really enjoyed our stay at esplendor. Would definitey recommend. We were told by other travelers in panama city that for the same price they got a small basic room. Ours was a 1 bedroom suite with kitchen --it was a condoloft- high ceilings, floor to ceiling windows.

For staying in Panama City, this was a cozy place compared to staying in a hostel. You get a nice bathroom with a shower and sink. A TV with many channels and a clean bed to sleep in. The ladies were very nice who work there. My only complaint wod be the neighborhood scene, kind of sketchy with a lot of "women looking for entertainment " but other than that we felt safe. There is a great 24 hour restaurant two blocks away that had great food and great service, I highly recommend it.
"Hotel was full"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Apr 16, 2011
The Hotel was full and I was taken to the Holiday Inn Express by the Panama Canal. The hotel staff at the Crowne Plaza was excellent in getting me booked at the Holiday Inn and made my vacation stay go on without problems.
