  This hotel was the final stop on our one-month trek thru Australia and New Zealand. It was a fine hotel with friendly people (none of whom were New Zealanders) and clean comfortable rooms. The resturant in the hotel served the best meal we had in NZ. The only negative was the location. It was a 10-15 minute walk to the main shopping and entertainment areas and inconvenient to the various bus routes. Being situated atop one of Auckland's many hills, it was a tough walk up hill at the end of the day.

  We were very pleased with every aspect of the hotel itself. It's very convenient for SkyCity but not as much so to the Harbor area. We like to walk so it wasn't as much a problem for us as it might be for others. In addition to being several blocks from the harbor/ferries, it is uphill on the way back. We arrived by Cruise Ship and were advised that a taxi was necessary with our luggage - well advised due to the hill. However, we walked the rest of the time. We thought that everyting else about the design, cleanliness, service and friendliness/helpfulness of staff were A-1. Our luggage was kept very securely the first day which left us free to start seeing the sights when we arrived several hours before checkin. Also good value for cost - we would stay there again!!

  Wonderfully pleased with the apartment style rooms. Stayed for four nights and found it extremely comfortable, close to all sights, very clean with very helpful staff. Enjoyed hot coffee each morning via the coffee press. We had a full kitchen if we so desired but were too busy to utilize it. Would stay there again and do highly recommend it to all.

  Our stay of 3 nights was great. The hotel is central, harbour,shopping etc all within walking distance. Apartment was clean and functional, staff were pleasant. Would use again.

  My stay at the Heritage was excellent. From the moment I arrived, the professional staff assisted me in every way they could. My room was clean and the service was prompt. I will be staying at the Heritage again when I return to auckland

  Everything great, except NO A/C. Many open-able windows/balcony, so fine for us (late January), but could have been an issue, if temperatures were high. Maybe summer temps are mild enough in Auckland, that A/C is not needed (?).

  The hotel is in a great location for walking to the sights and the port facilities. We did have to wait a short time for the room to be cleaned, but they gave us drink chits for the bar and we enjoyed a NZ beer after the long flight and ride from the airport. We walked to the sky tower, Queen street shopping and dock areas. There were many folks staying at the hotel going on the cruise, and the next day checking in from the cruise. A taxi to the port with all our bags was 12 NZ dollars. Our corner room was modern and well appointed. I would stay there again and will recommend the hotel to friends heading to Auckland.

  Excellent for tourism, but not necessarily so for business travelers. Internet off for 2 of 4 days there.

  This was truly one of the finest hotels on our trip to Australia and New Zealand. The quality of the hotel, the proximity to all the sights was great. I would highly recommend this hotel.
