An excellent location near to the motorway, yet protected from the noise by trees. We found it ideal to travel into Rotterdam for a Feyenoord game and then next day perfect to travel up to Amsterdam for the Van Gogh museum. Gouda itself is a small town with an interesting history and of course cheese plays a vital part in its development. There is a hotel restaurant, but we were out too much to get a chance to eat there. Night time the electric gate is closed, thereby making the hotel isolated on its own little island. Entry is simply calling the night porter on the intercom, but it ensures a crime free car park, though I suspect there is little crime in Gouda anyway!” 23/09/2008
