"Great Location; Not Too Expensive"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Dec 1, 2012
I stayed here recently for 2 nights and really enjoyed my stay. The hotel is in a great location: a few minutes (if that) from the train station and about a 10 minute walk from the city center. Note that the hotel does not have reception in the actual building. You have to go to the hotel across the street to check in and get your key. The people working at the hotel were very friendly. Upon check-in I was asked if this was my first time staying at the hotel (it was) and then he introduced himself and shook my hand. I thought that was a nice personal touch. The room itself was exactly as advertised. It had a very nice modern feel to it, but at the same time it didn't seem like aesthetic came at the expense of practicality. The bed was very comfortable, and the mood lighting was a nice touch (although some of the lights seemed to be broken, but it didn't really matter to me). The bathroom was clean and the shower had good water pressure. I did not have the breakfast because I thought that it was too expensive, so I can't comment on that. I have no complaints. The location is great and the price is right. I would definitely stay here again if I come back to Maastricht.

"Free Wifi, close to train"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Nov 4, 2012
I have stayed here multiple times when in town to work at the azM. Nice to be close to train if you are toting bags or boxes. Close enough to everything in the center for walking, sightseeing, restaurants, etc. Enjoyed the restaurant Unami which just opened down the block.
"Crowne the Plaza!"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Sep 29, 2012
We enjoyed this place a lot! (Of course it helps that Maastricht is such a gem!) The hotel originally booked us for a first-floor street-side room, but without even going to the room we asked if we could be given an off-street room. Without the slightest hesitation, we were moved to a sort of duplex/loft room on the second and third floors. The clerk explained very apologetically that the bedroom and the living and bath rooms were separated by a staircase. Not a problem! It was more like an apartment than a hotel room. The room was spacious, with our own balcony, and plenty of desk, shelf, hanger and bathroom counter space. We had a TV on each level. The room was also super quiet. The hotel is an easy walk across the river to the old town center via either one of two footbridges. My only beef is a very small one: unlike other hotels we stayed in in Belgium, Holland and Luxembourg, the Crowne Plaza didn't have CNN - in English, they had only BBC world news, Euro news, and some of the sillier American TV programming.

Thermae 2000 is a great place to spend a day at the spa. The facilities are super and the staff is extremely friendly and helpful
"It is not walkable"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Jul 6, 2012
The Golden Tulip in Maastricht Apple Park is a taxi cab (€9.50) or a bus ride (#3 for €2) from the central train station - It is not walkable. The bus runs about twice an hour from the hotel to the station and is about 5 blocks away. If you came to see Maastricht and you don’t have a car or lots of money for cab rides, this hotel may not fit the bill. If you’re looking for a great place to spend a night or two, this hotel is extreme value for the money and very clean and modern. There are many English stations on the TV, a bar and restaurant on site, friendly staff and a McDonalds within walking distance.

"Good hotel - needs a little lift"Reviewed by Sander k of "Amsterdam" on Dec 3, 2011
Nice hotel, close to the centre, central station and in a nice neighborhood. The hotel itself looks really nice from the inside once you walk in. Good lobby, nice staff. The room itself is good, but the refurbishing was half finished. So, it looked really trendy in the bedroom, the bathroom was still a little old fashioned. The beds were good, too bad the breakfast was this expensive. All in all, if they finish the refurbish it will be a really good value for money
"NH Maastricht"Reviewed by Sheila F of "PA" on Nov 4, 2011
The hotel was very reasonable and more than adequate. The room was a decent size and the bathroom was very nice. The hotel is not near anything other than the convention center. There was no place to eat within walking distance that I could see other than the hotel, however, it is located very close to the Maastrict Randwyck station and it only takes 3 minutes to get to the central station. My only complaint was that the check in procedure took a very long time - I was in line for about 45 minutes before I could check in. The hotel staff was very pleasant though.
