"Amrath - amazing accomodations"

Just returned from 3 weeks in Europe with the final 3 days at the Amrath. This charming hotel was the perfect finish to the holiday. The Amrath is well situated close to the Train Station - a short stroll actually. It's proximity to the must see areas are perfect - less than 10 minutes to the Red Light and a further 5 minutes to the main shopping street. But, far enough away to lose the noise and crowds. The facilities are befitting a 5 star as is the service. The staff and friendly and genuine. Always a smiling face when you came through the doors. For a fabulous meal you must go to "Looks". This upscale restaurant is just 5 minutes from the hotel across one bridge. Ask at the front desk for directions. They can also book a reservation for you. The meal was the best we had in Europe. The owner, Alco, is simply charming. It is very comfortable and welcomes even the casually dressed. The Amrath is the only hotel I would stay at in Amsterdam!” 10/28/2009
