"Excellent hotel in Penang"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Feb 23, 2013
The Bayview is an excellent choice if you are visiting Penang. The negative reviews simply don't correlate at all with the hotel we stayed in, the authors are either confused about what hotel they stayed in, or are simply making things up. The location is great if you are interested in the history of Penang, but it is not a great location if beaches are your thing. If that is the case, you need to be out in one of the beach hotels. If you want a convenient, clean, comfortable reasonably priced hotel with a great revolving restaurant on the roof, the Bayview is for you.

"Nearby and economical alternative to the E&O"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Jan 25, 2013
An all work no play 3 day stay in Penang. No hassle covered parking. Food mediocre but OK. Beautiful window view of east straight of Malaca and mainland beyond. Tourist area a bit pricey on the 2 block walk to the 5 star E&O hotel meeting center. The Cititel was very clean, adequately appointed, and an easy troublefree visit. Plumbing and A/C worked well.

"Close to Queens Bay Mall"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Jan 1, 2013
Very clean, the sheets are fantastic, overall 4.8 / 5. The only complaint is the room is a little small.

Was between Georgetown and most famous beach. Bus right outside and very cheap. We had a wonderful lady help us at reception with buses, places to eat etc. Breakfast was very nice and staff friendly. Beach maintained beautifully at back. Just did not have much time to enjoy facilities there. I would say beaches are still better in queensland but that is the case in most areas. Can not beat our surf beaches.
