"Good Hotel, but not as good as expected"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Feb 26, 2013
Limited entertainment, incompetent reception staff, some waiting and hospitality staff not very friendly, some rooms are smaller for the same price, hotel is too spread out and many rooms are very far from the ocean
"Almost great!"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Feb 25, 2013
This is a hotel with a good staff and lots of potential. Beds need an upgrade and rooms smell musty. Otherwise good value and nice breakfast buffet. Nice to have access to adjoining hotel's grounds.

"Very Comfortable"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Feb 24, 2013
A very nice experience, stayed a total of 18 nights, 17 on one booking and added another night. The only thing I think could have improved our stay was the internet was not the most powerful. They hotel could also use a few more lounge chairs, and areas to sit for the guests.
"In town and very convenient"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Feb 23, 2013
I very much enjoyed the friendly atmosphere of the hacienda. Had a charming room furnished with antiques. Clean and well appointed. Highly recommended.
"Very good"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Feb 22, 2013
The location is pretty good for people have car. Close to shopping mall, 5th avenue, beach and highway 307. Hotel is new and in good shape. We didn't have enough towel at the beginning and the staff was able to give us more.
"You get what you pay for"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Feb 22, 2013
It was a bit of a shock coming from the 5-star all inclusive resort to the Fusion, but it was fine. The only real complaints we had were that the beds were like laying on cement blocks, and that they asked that you throw your used toilet tissue in the trash can. We found that DISGUSTING and highly unsanitary, as if Mexico doesn't have enough problems with cleanliness. Other than that we had a good time, staff was friendly, hotel was cute (even if it needed some maintaining), and it had a great location.
"This is a nice place"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Feb 21, 2013
We spent a very relaxing and enjoyable week here in February. Our basic room was spacious and comfortable. The staff were very polite and responsive to all of our requests. We requested for them to refill our minibar with specific beverages and they did it each day, no questions asked. The all-inclusive food was much better than I imagined it would be. There was a lot of variety and the quality was good. The all-inclusive drinks were plentiful and easy to get. The hotel has a large pool that's a popular hangout with guests, as well as a wonderful stretch of beach with both sunny areas and palm-shaded areas to choose from. Stylistically, the hotel interior is probably due for a more modern facelift, but it has been very well maintained, so it still feels nice.
"Intimate, lovely, great cuisine"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Feb 20, 2013
We chose Cocos Cabanas because we wanted to spend a few days in the Caribbean, away from the throngs of tourists. This is the place! With just a few rooms, you really feel you have the property to yourself! The owners, Sylvia and Helmut, have a sweet operation here, and they work very hard to maintain it. The bed was comfortable, the coved shower was a cool architectural feature, and our room faced the lovely swimming pool just in front of the hammocks. The restaurant featured very inventive cuisine. It is not cheap, but well worth the cost. Breakfast is included: fresh baked croissants, juice, coffee, yogurt, fruit salad, and breakfast cereal, as well as fruit to-go. Pick up some bottled water in town. The food will keep you from wanting to eat anywhere else. Try lobster pizza, ahi tuna tartar wraps, lobster dinner, caprese salad, bananas flambe. The beach access is through an establishment that rent jet skis and does massage on the beach. The beach is rocky at the spot you enter, so you either veer right, where you can poach some fabulous private pier. No rocks at these beaches. The rooms had a very salty mineral water from the bathroom, difficult to feel clean, soap doesn't really lather. From Cancun airport take deluxe ADO buses, $12 per person, to Playa Del Carmen. From there cross the street to a waiting queue of taxis, pay $15 for the ride back to Cocos. We loved that the grounds are landscaped in impossibly beautiful details.
