"room"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Feb 11, 2013
The size of the room is very appropiate, elegant , but it needs a better air condition system. It was very hot at night
"Would definitely recommend this hotel"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Jan 17, 2013
Room description on the hotels.com website was inaccurate. I reserved a Junior suite with - supposedly - a queen bed and two double beds, for two adults and two children. There was no such thing. In fact, no room was designed to take four people at once. Fortunately, the reception personnel was very gracious and within 10 minutes of our arrival solved our problem by giving us a second room at no extra charge. The hotel is a gorgeosu 19th century house, recently renovated, and in top shape. Located less than half a block from the Puebla Cathedral and the "zocalo", you can't do better than that. Rooms were large, very comfortable, and luxuriously appointed. All in all, an excelent choice.
"amazing hotel "boutique""Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Oct 29, 2012
this is a wonderful place to stay, 3 blocks from El Zocalo, Catedral and all this pretty places to eat or to drink a cup of coffee. this is a beautiful boutique that has a colonial touch.. the rooms, the little patios and the little restaurants makes you feel Mexico.. I really recommend this boutique rather than a usual hotel
"Very Good hotel for the price"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Sep 30, 2012
Excellent breakfast included. Very good hotel, quiet neighborhood. the only downside is that rooms have no air conditioning.

Hotel was very nice, only slightly annoyed with check in when a simple confirmation number was not enough and they demanded to see my hotels.com confirmation e-mail which I didn't have. After waiting a while and scrambling to find it on my phone the front desk worker finally realized they didn't actually need it.
"Puebla: Meson de Capuchinas is ideal location."Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Aug 6, 2010
We were greeted at the door and received help with our luggage. The hotel from the outside was just like the photos. However inside the hotel there were no plants or flowers that dominate the interior hotel photos we saw. Later we were informed that it is "off-peak" (July-August?)season for the hotel. So no beautiful flowers, no kitchen or bar ( due to renovation) and a seeming reduction in cable channels on the tv. That being said, we like this place very much. And can't imagine peak season. The room is very nicely decorated, with a good solid antique feel. The oversize skeleton key that opens the large wooden door to our room was very cool. We had a terrace view to sip a beer and people watch. And the service was very good. And of course Puebla is awesome.
"Really nice hotel"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Sep 23, 2009
It's really close to the Zocalo, lots of nice places to eat and see really close by. The staff was really nice and helpful with anything we asked of them (parking for free, etc.) No idea if they speak English though- our conversations with them were conducted in Spanish.
