Crimson sunsets over ultramarine waters, resplendent golden beaches curtained by palms and long balmy...

We were happy with our stay. We would not hesitate to stay there again.
"Great hotel for the price"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Jan 29, 2013
Great hotel just off the main street and a 5 minute bus ride to the boardwalk. Lots of food choices nearby. Their promotions made the hotel a great price. There's no designated parking lot but there's lots of on street parking nearby. Super clean room. Beds were a little hard. The pool was very large and clean but not heated. :( Air conditioning provided. Lots of channels on the tv with some english language channels.
"Spacious rooms with kitchenette"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Jan 28, 2013
Hotel was lovely. Very short walk between the two hotels in front to get to the beach. You can use the Canto del sol beach palapas. Lots of food nearby Room we had had a kitchenette, balcony and king bed. No bugs. Nice quiet pool.

Great place for a very short visit. Only real problem was the very firm beds because the mattresses were on a wood frame instead of a box spring.
"Great location! Near restaurants and new pier!"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Jan 7, 2013
We love the San Marino because of its great location. We don't rent a car and like being able to walk to everything... restaurants, shopping, the Malecon, etc. And the old pier has now been replaced and the new pier opened January 4, 2013. It is absolutely beautiful, especially at night when it is lit up! We like the San Marino!
"Great hotel in the perfect place"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Jul 11, 2012
We had a perfect stay. I give the hotel straight 5s considering the price. There are more luxurious places, but not in that neighborhood for that price. Free and good wifi. Super friendly staff. Big, luxurious shower. Floor to ceiling windows on two sides, facing the bay. Two balconies. The only thing that could have been better would have been a more robust air conditioner. The existing was a bit weak, though sufficient.
"An airline employee's view point"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 3, 2012
My neighbors were staying a week in their time share. I found a better rate on Hotels.com than my corporate web site. I only stayed two nights but found it to be very enjoyable. The grounds were perfect. I had an ocean front room. I did not hear any noise at night. I am considering bringing my family here some time. I know it might be hard to understand but it can be both a family vacation and also a romantic get away
"Casa Iguana- Mismaloya"Reviewed by Karen B of "Seattle, WA" on Apr 2, 2012
This is mine and my son's third trip to Mexico and certainly the most memorable. Mismaloya is an amazing, rural little town nestled in a broad and beautiful expanse of mountains. It was a wonderful experience in experiencing the charm and beauty of Mexico and the kind, friendly people. While there, we ate locally at the small hut/kitchen which is across the street from the hotel on the way to the beach. We had filling, delicious meals for about 70 pesos. I took a ride into the mountains with a lead from the ranch ( also across the street) and we swam in a clean, jade-colored river and lay in the sun. All in all wonderful, however, if you are the impeccable, resorty-type of traveler it is unlikely that you will like the accomodations because they are very homey (and what we personally found so charming!) Also, if you want to travel into Vallarta inexpensively, just take the bus in... I think it is about 70 cents and you will enjoy the feel of the dusty, bumpy road! So much to say... it was an all-around wonderful trip.
