We love the San Marino because of its great location. We don't rent a car and like being able to walk to everything... restaurants, shopping, the Malecon, etc. And the old pier has now been replaced and the new pier opened January 4, 2013. It is absolutely beautiful, especially at night when it is lit up! We like the San Marino!

I have stayed at the Blue Chairs 4 times now. I stay there because of the location and great beach access and the staff. The staff is fantastic and always remembers you and makes you feel special. At the restaurant and beach Francisco, Andres and Pedro are great. At the pool bar Rogilio is wonderful. Sergio at the desk was great. The actual hotel and rooms are average but the location and staff make it great!

My neighbors were staying a week in their time share. I found a better rate on Hotels.com than my corporate web site. I only stayed two nights but found it to be very enjoyable. The grounds were perfect. I had an ocean front room. I did not hear any noise at night. I am considering bringing my family here some time. I know it might be hard to understand but it can be both a family vacation and also a romantic get away
