This older hotel has a lot of charm. It is well maintained, the service was great and the location was incredible. I will definitely stay there for my next trip.
We had an ocean view so we could watch the sunset every evening and have the waves sing us to sleep.
The hotel is near a grocery store , several restaurants , shops, dance clubs, a cab stand, a bank, activities (or the pick up for the activities), etc. This trip we went ocean fishing, parasailing, zip lining, and margarita tasting – watermelon is my new favorite. The little office next to the McDonalds across the street is very helpful arranging activities and Pipi’s restaurant has a long list of margaritas to try. (They have large to go cups)
You don’t need to know Spanish, but you can speak it or practice it if you wish.
Old Town Puerto Vallarta is just a beautiful area full of things to explore, and the Rosita is in the middle of everything.
"Great stay for an overnight"

Close to the airport and marina with lots of restaurants. Great value. Only draw back was the hard bed. We stayed at a resort during the week. We wanted to be close to the airport so we picked this one. It was a great choice.

We stayed at the Raintree for 3 days until we were able to get into our timeshare at another resort. We wanted to stay in the Marina area so we could see more of this area and become more familiar with it. We found that all the staff were very friendly and would greet you with a smole and "Hola" . The room was clean and all the rooms have a spa tub on the balcony. Our room was on the Marina side and had a view overlooking the Marina. While the resort is not right in the Marina it is close enough that you can walk to it and enjoy the food and sights there. The beach in this area is very nice and we enjoyed walking on the beach. The only thing we didn't like about the beach were the guys a little ways from the resort that would try and sell us pot as we walked by, it has been several years since anyone on the beach has asked us and we had hoped Vallarta was putting a stop to this. Overall we would stay at the Raintree again.
"good one for the money"

The hotel was clean and reasonable. The first night there were some noisy guest and the hot water was not always available. Overall I would recommend it for a cheap place to stay in PV. Easy to get to the beach and shopping, or to take a bus downtown.
