"Beautiful spot"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Jan 14, 2013
This is a lovely riad with one or two drawbacks. The water from the shower drained very slowly so you had to stand in two inches of it. When you arrive if it's evening you have no idea how to get out of the alleys where it is located to the main square, which is actually only a short walk away, but you can't take a taxi because the alleys are too narrow. So you might not be able to go for a walk until the next day when you can find your way around. The food is excellent but it seems that they don't really want guests to eat there because the prices are so high. We ate there the first night and there was one set meal with no price advertised. Afterwards I asked how much it was and found out it was 25 euros per person, which is about four times as much as food anywhere else in Marrakech. It was a nice meal but I wouldn't want to pay that price for that meal in Europe, let alone in Africa. The staff were very helpful though and an Expedia rep provided information about excursions and met us at the hotel on our first morning so that we could quickly make plans. I would stay there again, but not eat there at that price.
"Close to Medina, but in resort area"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Nov 5, 2012
30years old male, came here to sitesee with a friend. The location is great because cabs know where the hotel is. You're walking distance to the medina and a short cab from the new medina. It's a "resort" but it's more practical than luxurious, so I'd look elsewhere for a romantic stay. The room was clean although the suite was more of a double bed and a pullout single bed and a couch that could turn into a bed - would have preferred just two single beds.

Beautiful hotel in the outskirts of Marrakesh. The hotel is offering a shuttle service but it's preferable to rent a car if you're planning to stay late in the medina.
