"Good Find"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Feb 21, 2013
We stayed at Sutton Myeongdong for part of our family vacation. It was an excellent find. The price was definitely right and the service was above my expectation. The restaurant in the hotel has good priced food and not over priced. The hotel is located between major roads and was a little difficult to spot at first. Many sites worth visiting within 5-10 min walk. Great place to rest after navigating busy Seoul.

Nice hotel. Room had a double tub but jets did not work. Had a nice Baday. Close to the war memorial. Short walk to subway.

"Unbeatable Value"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Jan 23, 2013
I took the advice of a guest on a review site and booked a suite--have to say that was great advice. The room was large, clean, spacious, and comfortable. Really a treat for a big city hotel. The hotel itself isn't located directly on a busy road -- but that's what I preferred. Seoul can get loud with all the traffic and people surrounding, so it was nice to be a couple short blocks up from the main road yet centrally located to everything, especially the subway station. Hard to believe I paid what I did. What a steal!

"Seoul What a wonderful place"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Jan 3, 2013
Spent 3 nights at Amourex hotel with my daughter and we found it very conveniently located, spacious, clean and comfortable. Front desk was always eager to help with our day excursion plans. The most part the front desk did speak english.Overall a great stay and would definitely recommend it to anyone. Thanks
"good choice with one small criticism"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Dec 25, 2012
this place is located in a good place near places to eat, the US army base (if that's important) and the subway. the check-in and check-out procedure was so simple it was kind of confusing! the only real criticism has to do with the smell in the corridors. i guess the hotel is a smoking hotel although we got a non-smoking room that did not have any evidence of previous smoking but the hallways smelled like cigarettes coupled with the general ambient sewer smell in the older areas of Seoul we visited. we didn't hang out in the hallways so it wasn't a big deal. otherwise, i definitely felt the amount we got a good deal with the rates they charge.
"Awesome!!!"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Dec 25, 2012
Since I arrived, the kindness and desire to help were present in every question I had. Excelent English and very convenient location. New mall 5 minutes away and many coffee shops around. Very satisfied. I stayed 8 nights.
"Great location next to hip Hangdae, but tiny room"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Dec 13, 2012
Location is wonderful, and that's key. The room was tiny and my particular room had this weird design where the floor for the sink/mirror was connected to the shower floor, and so after a shower, it would be hard to get to the mirror to brush your teeth or whatever since you'd have to put your shoes on to get through the water. Not sure if every room is the same. Overall though, the people were very nice and helpful, although it was hard for the taxi driver to find it, so get good directions beforehand, in Korean. If I went again, I'd probably look for another hotel in the same area that might not be on these big websites like hotels.com, because I saw a bunch of other hotels in the area. Not sure exactly how to find/call them and if they know English. So for the convenience factor -- location + they know English well -- this is a good choice.
