  We stayed at 7 different hotels and cities throughout our 14 day stay in Japan and this hotel was one of the best, if not the best. It was a little less than a 10 minute walk from the JR Hiroshima north exit. The hotel room was very small, but that is the norm in Japan; We had two large suitcases that we laid out in the entry hall, so it was good enough. The room was very well put together, and extremely clean. The bed was comfortable and they had CNN in English, which we appreciated after staying in hotels with no English channels at all. They offered 24 hours beverages, and the included breakfast had a nice selection. They also had great amenities for ladies( ie a ton of Shesido facial products and masks), a nice hot public bath, and many restaurants nearby. The Hiroshima tram lines, which take you to all the must see sites, was also about 10 mins away, at the south exit of the JR station.

  We loved our night at the Comfort Hotel Hiroshima Otemachi, and wish we could have stayed longer. The hotel is only 2 blocks from the Hiroshima Peace Park, our destination, and there is a streetcar stop directly in front of it, making it very easy to get to from the Hiroshima train station. The complimentary breakfast is excellent: a full breakfast with both Japanese and Western style options. If we go back to Hiroshima, we will try to stay here again.

  The staff was really helpful. We had plans to visit Miyajima, and the desk attendant rather than merely answer our question about the trains told us about a better way to get to Miyajima. We felt really comfortable at the Blue Wave. The location was fine because of the hotel's proximity to the trolley. When we arrived we chose to ride the trolley from the main train station, and then had a short two block walk to the hotel. The trolley was a challenge with luggage. If one doesn't mind hoofing it, the main attractions can be reached from the hotel by foot, but if not the trolley is convenient enough.
