Hotel not close to airport but it was absolutely beautiful. Perfect getaway. Didn't need to lift a finger the staff always helpful and pleasant. You can do as much or as little as you want. The grounds are beautifully maintained. I saw a host of beautiful birds including the islands national bird. Great family beach resort. Though very pricey.
"Sunset on the Beach"

I just recently returned from a 3 day stay at Sunset on the Beach. We had a Ocean front suite with a kitchen. It was great to have a kitchen and be able to cook in the room. The suite was a great size. The view from the balcony was amazing. The room was actually feet from the sand and the water. The room was clean, but in need of updating and some repairs. The sheets were clean, but had holes in them and the comforter was stained with ink. The staff was fantastic. We had issues with the air conditioner and the staff took care of it quickly each time there was an issue. It took about 24 hours and the issue was completely fixed. I would recommend this resort and would return again.
"Great Getaway spot"

The hotel was great. The food was good and the staff were wonderful. The beach in front of the Riu ropical Bay is one of the best in Jamaica. The shows were good and the entertainment staff superb. We especially enjoyed the Rimshot Band and their singer Shandy Man. They are true Jamaican talents.
"Riu Club is a great place to stay"

The Riu's location on Bloody Bay is perfect. The hotel had 2 great outdoor pools plus a large beach area... perfect for a long morning walk. We were pleasantly surprised by the buffet food. It's not five star, but you get a good value for the cost. The staff was friendly and efficient. The drinks were great and not watered down. We took Clive's transportation from Montego Bay to Negril and were happy with the quick arrival time and good service. We were there for a wedding and they accommodated our group with friendly efficiency. If you are looking for an all-inclusive experience, this is a very good choice.

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights and it was amazing. They let us check in early, gave us a complimentary upgrade to a nicer room, and were extremely nice and helpful throughout our entire stay, which really made our trip. The hotel is gorgeous and has a perfect location on the cliffs, so it has great sunsets, snorkeling (lots of coral and fishes!), swimming, and lounge chairs to lay out beside the water and cliffs. It was paradise. The restaurant was awesome--especially breakfast (french toast and omelettes) and the banana-papaya-rum smoothies. They gave us a great deal on a rental car and we took a day to explore the inner island. They also have a shuttle every hour that goes into town and back, and the driver was really helpful when we were looking for a roadmap--he actually went to the book store and bought it for us since we couldn't find one. I can't wait to go back! PS- Being our first time in Negril and we were surprised at how touristy it was--7 Mile Beach was extremely unpleasant, worse than Daytona. The Westender is perfect to get away from that scene have a more authentic Jamaican experience. They had a bonfire and a party for New Year's Eve, so it's still fun, but not a tourist trap (e.g. Rick's), and was very relaxing. It's much better than an all-inclusive resort because you have more freedom/motivation to get out and see other part of the island.
"Nice hotel on the white sands of Negril."

Of the three hotels we occupied during our stay in Jamaica this was by far the best one. At first it was a shock that there was no phone, alarm clock or any of the other basic hotel ammenities, but besides that we were happy with our stay. The staff was friendly and it was nice to have our room only a minute walk from the white sands and green water of the Caribean. We would recommend this hotel for families and singles and if we ever do go back to Jamaica we would stay here again.
