My only complaint is it looks like from the map the hotel is on the water when in fact it's a 15 minute walk to get to the beach or any of the stores or restaurants. The staff were excellent, took care of all our needs and requests. We could not ask for better. The lobby, pool and hotel restaurant were well kept but the room it self felt and smelt old. For the $ it is a good hotel for Montego Bay

Before booking Doctors Cave, I was a little skeptical. The name alone sounded creepy and I'd never been to Jamaica before, so wasn't sure what I was signing up for. However, after reading the reviews, my sister and I decided to try it out. I am SO glad we did. As this was a very last minute trip and both of us being on law school budgets, we thought the price was great. We got there and immediately noticed how close it was to the airport (5 min ride at 100 Jamaicans). We were greeted by a very warm and friendly concierge and the entrance was very open with music and the bar already starting up. Though the rooms aren't what you would find at a much nicer hotel, they were still spacious and clean. Finally, the bartender Kenny was the best part about this place. He made sure to help my sister and I not get scammed by high prices that locals would try to ask for if they saw you were American. In addition, he also makes great drinks.
Lastly, Doctors Cave was right across the street from the beach as within walking distance of all of the clubs and bars. After driving around and seeing where the much more expensive resorts were (on the beach but far away from town) I can't imagine why anyone would pay all of that money. Overall, amazing experience and I will definitely be staying there again on my next trip!
The way they treat guest is unbelievably great. The food is awesome. Authentic Jamaican food with all natural ingredients. This Villa is worth staying in if you want to get away from the busy city life. The scenery was spectacular. The host of the villa will answer any questions and guide you in the right direction. The place is beautiful. The cons is that the personal cab service is too expensive and it is far from the downtown.
The hotel is located five minutes from the airport and beaches. They provided a shuttle to both. Staff was friendly and helpful but did not do anything beyond what was requested. The room was clean but dated. The hot water barely heated the water. The breakfast was basic and overpriced. The pool and bar areas were empty of staff and guests when I was there but both areas were well maintained. There were birds in cages throughout the property which was a surprise to me.
