We had a seaside view from our room and it was amazing. We can see the Island of Capri and the surrounding area. Everything in this hotel was comfortable and cozy. Would definately come and stay again.

My wife and I had the best time in Sorrento. We spent four nights at La Vue D'Or and enjoyed the hotel amentities. The family that runs the hotel are wonderful and very helpful. The hotel shuttle was extremely helpful in getting us to and from downtown Sorrento. We enjoyed our stay so much that when we were stranded in Italy for an additional six days due to Hurricane Sandy, we returned to La Vue D'Or instead of staying in Rome.
Very convenient location to train station, but one of the best parts of the hotel was the friendly service we received from Luigi at the front desk. Our luggage was lost for 3 days and he helped us make phone calls to the airline to retrieve our luggage. He was super friendly and helpful.

The Tramolntano is a superb classic hotel perched on the cliff above the beach in Sorrento. The staff could not be more helpful and friendly. The breakfast was the best we had anywhere on our journey in Italy. The room was spacious and comfortable. It was the best value for the money of anywhere we stayed in southern Italy.

This grand hotel really deserves the appellation. On a clifftop, with breathtaking views of the Bay of Naples and Mount Vesuvius, it belongs to another era. Our first-floor room was incredibly spacious and opened out onto a broad patio with wicker furniture and the aforementioned views. The pool is lovely, and the "beach" -- really a pier on the bay -- was a wonderful place to unwind at the end of the day. Yes, the carpet in the lobby was a little worn and you can tell you're in an older hotel by an occasional chip in the paint, but overall, we were wowed by the place. One warning: we had dinner at the restaurant one night, and the food was considerably less than grand.
"Awesome view! Great hotel!"

My family of five had an excellent stay at the Grand Hotel Vesuvio. The staff was courteous and the facilities very clean. Fantastic views of the bay of Naples, Mount Vesuvius and Sorrento. The kids enjoyed the pool. We made several trips into Sorrento and the port with ease with the hotel shuttle bus which was very reliable and spacious. Would definitely go back and not even consider another hotel.
