"Decent bed and breakfast, long walk"

The room was small but seemed normal for Italy. The bed was comfortable but the shower was tiny. The biggest drawback was the 20 minute walk to town. And from there it was another 10 min to the beach. Felix was nice enough and even recommended a great dinner for new years eve. It was pricey but worth it for a new years honeymoon. The restaurant was the 3 sisters.

We enjoyed our stay very much. Location though far from town, offered some beautiful views. I only had a problem with bus service to and from Positano. It just wasn't very dependable. So a lot of wasted time waiting. Also the parking lot is a long ways from the Villa. But overall it was very nice and we would stay again.
"Only Hotel on the Beach"

Couple things to know if you pick this hotel...1. if you drive you have to park at one of the public parking lots on the one way street of Positano 2. Its quite the trek with luggage down to the beach (recommend arranging a porter ahead of time to help you-only a few bucks) 3. you will see no signs for this hotel just take the rode down to the beach (Piazza Muslini). 4. there is no check in or lobby area so call the hotel when you are almost there and Rossa will be there waiting for you and will help with luggage (she is the owner and speaks little English but was great to us). While these things made getting to the hotel slightly difficult it was well worth it. This is the only hotel directly on the beach. We walked out or doors to the chair and umbrella rental. You have to walk the hills of Positano up to the shopping, but atleast its a down hill walk at the end of the day/night. The location is great if you plan on taking the boat to other towns or islands as well. The room was huge, with a small kitchenite and nice size bathroom. The only flaw was the bedding, which wasnt very comfortable but I came to expect in Italy. There are no amenitites but we loved the hotel and location of La Caravella.
"Perfect for what we were looking for..."

The Hotel Reginella was a perfect location for what my husband and I were looking for. The staff was very friendly, the room was actually large compared to typical European hotel rooms. It was odd that the room didn't have a phone, which made it difficult when we needed to get in touch with the front desk, but that was minor overall. Our stay included a very nice breakfast in the morning as well. The location is perfect! The view...amazing! Get ready to hike...as with anywhere you will stay in Positano there is a lot of hills and steep steps, but that should be expected when visiting this region. We were very happy with our stay and the staff. We would definitely recommend to anyone.

This was the perfect place for us. It is way up on the hill and you do have to walk a bit to get to the hotel but the views, the people and the food all make it very worthwhile. Pasquale, Giacomo, Marco and their parents could not be more welcoming or helpful. There is a lift for your luggage and lights for the path at night. The family cooked for us one night and it was lovely. La Tagliata, a great dining experience, is just a short walk down the hill. There are paths and steps so you can walk down to the beach but we chose the bus for the return trip! Of all the places we stayed on our trip, I think this was our favorite. My son did some hiking in the area and would love to go back for more. This might be a difficult place for you if you are dealing with any mobility issues but if not, you will love your time on the hill.
