"Great Place in Rome!"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Feb 23, 2013
This is a reasonably priced hotel near some of the best attractions in Rome. The room was small (it was a triple) but it had a balcony that was huge and we loved it! I would stay here again even with the tightness of the room because who comes to Rome to stay in the room?
"Intimate, quaint home away from home"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Feb 23, 2013
We chose this hotel based on past reviews and its central location to the sights we wanted to see. Boy, were we blown away! Service: we did order room service. However the staff was more than welcome to provide us recommendations and directions to local attractions. Many of them were bilingual. Cleanliness/condition: the room was as expected. Clean, with no signs of wear or worn out items. The rooms have universal plugs compatible with US plugs without adapters (don't forget, it's still 220 volts). Our only gripe was that on one night the hot water didn't work. They fixed it within an hour, though. Food: we elected to pre-purchase breakfast with our reservation. Impressed would be an understatement! Two staff members tended to a room of eight tables (16 seats). All the foods were freshly prepared, including the bread. Plus, by the second day, they had our coffee preferences memorized. By the way, they fresh-made each cappuccino or latte. No cheap, automated machine for this hotel! Overall: excellent experience! Highly reccomended!
"Very close to Roma Termini.."Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Feb 21, 2013
The only negative thing is that the wireless internet service at our room was not too good - on and off connectivity. But other than that, the hotel service and room comforts was great and the price was very reasonable too, considering it was just 5 min walk from Roma termini.
"the BEST ! location"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Feb 20, 2013
This hotel is just steps from the metro stop Barbarini; also less than 5 minute walk to Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps and about 15 minutes to the Pantheon. 15 minutes and easy by Metro to the colleseum and roman forum. Excellent place to stay. Staff was super in terms of support and friendliness. Hotel entrance was on a small cobblestone side street. Very clean hotel and recently renovated; so very pleasing lobby and breakfast area. The lobby and breakfast area are small, but the hotel also quite small, so no problem. Room and bathroom a fair size for older european construction; but again, all was renovated so clean and pleasing. WiFi available in the lobby. Only slight negative is that the shower was about the smallest I've seen, so a bit difficult to navigate at 6'4" ! Overall the perfect hotel for location and value from which to enjoy Rome. Highly recommended !
"Wonderful Roman Holiday"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Feb 17, 2013
My wife and I really enjoyed our stay. The staff were wonderful. We were made to feel like special guests. I wish I could remember all their names. Their recommendations of restaurants and places to go were most helpful. The room was a little cramped but nice. We had planned couple of day trips so being located within a five minute walk of Termini Station was plus. We are already planning a return trip and would stay at Hotel Verona - Rome again.
"A favorite hotel in a favorite neighborhood"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Feb 17, 2013
We have stayed at Hotel Teatro di Pompeo many times over the past 15 years and always enjoy that hotel, built over the ruins of the theatre (breakfast room in the restored theatere ruins is a great thing!). As architects, we love the Campo dei Fiori / Piazza Farnese location. We arrived late in the evening this time, and our favorite room was (not surprisingly) unavailable. But the next day the hotel staff gladly moved us to that room. The hotel is always very well run and the staff very accommodating.

"Pleasant Experience"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Feb 14, 2013
I liked this hotel. I can't complain about much really, except that the wifi didn't work on our devices. We had two smartphones and a netbook and the wifi wouldn't work on either and the staff couldn't seem to fix the problem. That was a disappointment because the free wifi was a large factor when choosing this hotel. They have a guest computer however so we were able to use it. Breakfast was a standard continental style breakfast. The staff was nice and helpful. The location was good, very near the spanish steps and the metro/bus stops. The room was small, but clean and comfortable. Overall, we had a very good experience.
