The hotel is across the street from the side exit of the train station. We had a triple room. Our room consisted of two floors--2 single beds on main floor and another on the second floor which would give you privacy when travelling with children. There is also a frig in the room. Our room was clean and comfortable and a great value for what we paid. We had planned to take a boat to Capri but the seas were too rough. Backup plan was to take train to Sorrento but that private train line was on strike. We went back to the train station as the main train line was running but within the next 30 minutes they too were on strike. Back at the hotel we mentioned this to the hotel reception and he made a few calls and offered a car with driver.
"Great location, wonderful hotel"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Oct 16, 2012
This hotel is in a great location. It is close to the center of Naples. You can walk to all the attractions. The staff is very kind, and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. Great value for the price. We will stay here again the next time we are in Naples.

Great Hotel and the best and safest location in Naples. The restuarant next door, Penelope's, is one of the best that we had in all of Italy!! On the weekends, they have a singer and musician (Ciro) that rivals Elton John and Bocelli! If you get a sea view, you can catch a sunset view of Pompeiii and Visuvius from your window, but also from just walking our the front door. Most of Naples is dirty and run-down and you have to weed through it to find the treasures , but you will forget that when you are walking in the Santa Lucia area. Don't hesitate to book this hotel.
"Excellent budget choice in Naples"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Jun 26, 2012
There are several hotels in the small streets south west of the main train station in Naples, and Luna Rossa is an excellent budet choice among them. The location is convenient to transportation links, the hotel itself is comfortable, including air con and flat screen tv. Several restaurants in the nearby streets stay open late. The east section of Giuseppe Pica street is deserted and iffy at night; when coming from the station walk along Piazza Garibaldi instead, and take the second small side street left directly to the hotel, thus avoiding the problematic section.

"Fantastic stay at a fantastic hotel"Reviewed by Joseph G of "Lancaster, PA" on Dec 5, 2011
I'd like to think of this hotel as my home away from home. The staff is amazing, extremely friendly and courteous in every way. The hotel is spot less and the breakfast is excellent. The location is also perfect. This stay, just like every other, was a 10/10
"Great location - once you find it"Reviewed by Robert B of "San Francisco" on Oct 24, 2011
A bit of difficulty finding the hotel as it's on a main street that is closed to cars, i.e. no taxi could drop us at the door. We had to gain access to the hotel through an intercom with a very tiny hotel label on the intercom button. Very convenient location, generous room size, kind helpful staff, fairly good breakfast selections...even espresso. On the well maintained second and third floors of a very impressive old building. Not too quiet a location but hey, this is Naples. Advertised internet access was useless as computer was set to allow only Italian and Polish(!) languages.

Clean room. Good location. Good breakfast buffet. If you have to stay in Naples, this hotel is close to the train station, but not so close that you are involved in the chaos.
