The hotel is across the street from the side exit of the train station. We had a triple room. Our room consisted of two floors--2 single beds on main floor and another on the second floor which would give you privacy when travelling with children. There is also a frig in the room. Our room was clean and comfortable and a great value for what we paid. We had planned to take a boat to Capri but the seas were too rough. Backup plan was to take train to Sorrento but that private train line was on strike. We went back to the train station as the main train line was running but within the next 30 minutes they too were on strike. Back at the hotel we mentioned this to the hotel reception and he made a few calls and offered a car with driver.
"Great location, wonderful hotel"

This hotel is in a great location. It is close to the center of Naples. You can walk to all the attractions. The staff is very kind, and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. Great value for the price. We will stay here again the next time we are in Naples.
"Excellent budget choice in Naples"

There are several hotels in the small streets south west of the main train station in Naples, and Luna Rossa is an excellent budet choice among them. The location is convenient to transportation links, the hotel itself is comfortable, including air con and flat screen tv. Several restaurants in the nearby streets stay open late. The east section of Giuseppe Pica street is deserted and iffy at night; when coming from the station walk along Piazza Garibaldi instead, and take the second small side street left directly to the hotel, thus avoiding the problematic section.

I'd like to think of this hotel as my home away from home. The staff is amazing, extremely friendly and courteous in every way. The hotel is spot less and the breakfast is excellent. The location is also perfect. This stay, just like every other, was a 10/10
"Great location - once you find it"

A bit of difficulty finding the hotel as it's on a main street that is closed to cars, i.e. no taxi could drop us at the door. We had to gain access to the hotel through an intercom with a very tiny hotel label on the intercom button. Very convenient location, generous room size, kind helpful staff, fairly good breakfast selections...even espresso. On the well maintained second and third floors of a very impressive old building. Not too quiet a location but hey, this is Naples. Advertised internet access was useless as computer was set to allow only Italian and Polish(!) languages.

It's convenient to be located within walking distance to the main train & subway terminal in Naples. Rooms are OK but no WiFi in rooms, only in the hallways & breakfast room. Minimal choices at breakfast and no elevators hamper anyone with large luggage.
"Hotel San Giorgio - a great location"

Hotel San Giorgio is in a great location for train and airport bus transit. Some of the surrounding area is not the best, but the location and the quality of the hotel is great.
Breakfast was very good and available for 3 hours. The hotel was in very good condition and one had to ring to enter. Considering the area that was a good idea.
One bad point: The late afternoon/evening clerk always laid out all the keys on the desk counter. This allowed anyone who entered to pick up any key and/or allowed everyone who entered the hotel to know which rooms were not occupied at that time. I considered that an opening for a thief so I requested he put my key under the counter, as the clerks are required to do. He did so the next night, but the last night I found my key on the counter top when I returned to the hotel. In the future I would take my key with me!
I found everything else about the hotel to be very good.
