"Best Find in Venice"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Feb 26, 2013
The location is perfect, right across the street from the Valporetto (the water bus). Eugenio, the concierge is the best I have experienced in any hotel in any country. He went out of his way to make our stay wonderful. Coffee and tea any time of day, letting me use the hotel computer (several times), arranging a free motorboat ride to the glass works in Murano, marking a map with the number of the valporetto to take (including the times for when we had to leave early to get to the airport, and just being one of the nicest people I have ever met! The room was spacious and immaculate with three windows, one overlooking the Grand Canal. The bathroom was spotless and well lit, even had a towel warmer for the towels, the heating control was well appreciated since it snowed the day we arrived! With the Valporetto station just across the street it is easy to get anywhere in Venice. About 20 minutes from the bus station at Pont Roma on the 5.1 to the hotel. Or take the line 1 and cruise down the Grand Canal on the way to the hotel. I love Lido since one doesn't have to cross bridges or walk a long way to the hotel and there are many restaurant choices within a 2 block area.

"Convenient...Close to everything."Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Feb 25, 2013
The staff was friendly and helpful. The service was excellent, and the WiFi really worked. Hotel was very clean and comfortable and within reach of every sight you wanted to see and also convenient to the water taxi terminal. Couldn't ask for a better place to call home away from home. Would go back in a heart beat.

Excelent service, best quality services, I have all my needs/amenities satisfy. What i like the most was the great location, were I"live" for 10 days among locals and see Venice as everyday life style, besides touring and see the amazing museuns, churchs, restaurants etc....everything was close by , if not the gondola ride it pays off,The best vacation ever. I had 5 stars hotel just for the warm, helpfull , professional service I had during my entire stay . I strongly recommend.

"Good base of operations"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Feb 24, 2013
Pros: Very near the train station and water bus stops, and near the land bus station, so its was easy to get to the airport and Italy's rail network. The dining room overlooks the canal, and there's a lot of boat activity to watch in the morning (bkfst included in our rate). Friendly, patient staff. Both the sleeping room and bathroom of our budget room had windows. Public lobby had lots of comfy seating for reading and doing email in. WiFi was included in our rate. Cons: Beds adequate, but not as comfy as, say, Courtyard Marriott or Hampton Inn. Overall, would stay there again.
"Great Hotel!"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Feb 24, 2013
Great value for your money. The location right next to the train station sounds scary, but it was perfect. You cannot hear the trains, but the convenience of having to make a short walk from the train station to the hotel was worth its weight in gold. The staff was extremely friendly, with a lot of personality and charm. The room was large, comfortable, and clean. The view from our room was limited, but with the natural beauty of Venice right outside your door who cares. We went in February , and thought the price was very fair. Highly recommend this hotel for those that need a solid base to see the fabulous city of Venice.
""5 Star" Palace Charm matches "5 Star" Service!"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Feb 24, 2013
Let's start with the perfect location of this stunning 18th century palace-- with a lovely terrace opening onto the Grand Canal and it being adjacent to both a vaporetto and a traghetto stop. The palazzo's glittering mosaic interiors were matched by the friendliness, efficiency, and travel advice provided by all of the staff-- from the front desk receptionists to the breakfast waiters. This small hotel is a true gem!
