"great value in san marco"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Oct 13, 2012
Great value for location. Houskeeping/breakfast staff had awesome customer service!!! Room had no air conditioning, had to pay surcharge/extra for wi-fi access and we had 2 separate beds--all advertised. Was disappointed that wi-fi was not accessible in the room after paying extra and communicating to front desk staff. We had to access wi-fi outside the room/by the stairs since we're already being charged.
"Great location &good value"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Sep 30, 2012
Spent 3 nights there. Room was small but bed was comfortable & bathroom was clean. It is a budge-priced hotel & I thought it was great for the $$. Front desk personnel were very helpful - especially Ricardo. If you have never been there before - get a BIG map before you try to find the hotel - and anything else. The hotel is tricky to find, and small maps do not show the detail you need to find your way in Venice
"Nice location, away from all the tourists!"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Sep 3, 2012
Great location, about a 30 min ride on the boat to get there but it's worth it. Nicely set on a little canal, and you can easily walk to the main tourist attractions. One thing that I didn't like is the staff 'close' the drink vending machines in the evening, which are located in the lobby - so if you want a drink they charge you double from their bar! Otherwise a good place to stay.

"Bed and Breakfast -- Italian Style!"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Jun 22, 2012
My Mom and I enjoyed our stay very much -- Elizabeth, one of the staff, went out of her way to accomodate us, give us directions, help us ice down a bottle of store-bought Prosecco, etc. The hotel setting is amazing with picturesque views from windows and street and original art on the walls. The breakfast was simple but good and the breakfast rolls were so fresh -- , the perfect start to each day exploring Venice. The beds are not the high quality mattress and box springs you would find in a large chain hotel, but the simple mattresses on metal frames were comfortable enough and we slept fine after long days of walking and enjoying the sights. You experience true Italian living by staying here; we stayed in #10, had a shared bathroom and it was never a problem. We kept the balcony doors open to the picturesque view of window boxes filled with floors and our balcony overlooked the outdoor area of the hotel's restaurant. It's one block off of the main walking route around the city so it's easy to do the walking tour. It's very close to the Zattare water bus stop and we recommend arriving in the daytime to find your way to the hotel in daylight instead of at night like we did. But the owner of a nearby Gelato shop kindly walked us to the hotel at night so we wouldn't get lost. We would stay there again!
