"Best Find in Venice"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Feb 26, 2013
The location is perfect, right across the street from the Valporetto (the water bus). Eugenio, the concierge is the best I have experienced in any hotel in any country. He went out of his way to make our stay wonderful. Coffee and tea any time of day, letting me use the hotel computer (several times), arranging a free motorboat ride to the glass works in Murano, marking a map with the number of the valporetto to take (including the times for when we had to leave early to get to the airport, and just being one of the nicest people I have ever met! The room was spacious and immaculate with three windows, one overlooking the Grand Canal. The bathroom was spotless and well lit, even had a towel warmer for the towels, the heating control was well appreciated since it snowed the day we arrived! With the Valporetto station just across the street it is easy to get anywhere in Venice. About 20 minutes from the bus station at Pont Roma on the 5.1 to the hotel. Or take the line 1 and cruise down the Grand Canal on the way to the hotel. I love Lido since one doesn't have to cross bridges or walk a long way to the hotel and there are many restaurant choices within a 2 block area.
"Prime location in the heart of Venice"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Feb 25, 2013
Excelent service, best quality services, I have all my needs/amenities satisfy. What i like the most was the great location, were I"live" for 10 days among locals and see Venice as everyday life style, besides touring and see the amazing museuns, churchs, restaurants etc....everything was close by , if not the gondola ride it pays off,The best vacation ever. I had 5 stars hotel just for the warm, helpfull , professional service I had during my entire stay . I strongly recommend.
"One of the best rooms in Venice"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Feb 19, 2013
We stayed in room 206 and it was one of the best rooms we have been in period. Would definitely stay here again.

"Love this place"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Feb 4, 2013
It is set away from the center of Venezia, but is fantastic. Gets you into a quieter neighborhood with a great little walk to the center. The room was outstanding and our bathroom (we called the cave) was amazing. The staff was extremely helpful and so nice to us. Venezia has become my favorite place thus far on my trip because of the people, sites and this hotel!

"Nice hotel"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Nov 25, 2012
The hotel itself was nice. The staff very helpful and very good breakfast buffet. It is NOT very close to the center of Venice and if you use public transportation be prepared for a long ride. We had a nice and brief experience at the hotel although we should have guessed that a hotel that accepts pets would include "wet doggie" smell in the room.
"nice place and good location"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Nov 20, 2012
We stayed in mid-October of this year (2012). The temp was cool, and the room comfortable. The air condition worked well on the one warmer day. Owners are very nice, and run a smooth business. It's a friendly hotel with a nice breakfast of coffees, teas, fruits, rolls, croissants, jams, yogurt, cereal, and little breakfast cookies. Our room faced inside as we had requested, so it was quiet, over- looking a small terrace patio. As I recall, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom small, but clean and very adequate. Again, the owners were very kind and friendly, which always makes a stay so much more pleasant.I've stayed in Venice in other locations. Locanda Herion is relatively close to the train station, within very easy walking distance. With smaller bags, it is simple to walk to and from the station on arrival and departing. Also, the city is not large, so walking anywhere else is also easy and delightful. We would recommend the hotel for its amenities, kind owners, breakfasts, comfort, price and location.
"NICE HOTEL.."Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Nov 18, 2012
Our stay was very pleasureable. The rooms were very spacious (unlike your typical european hotel room) and the staff was amazing. My only complaint would have to be the ridiculously expensive prices in the hotel restaurant compared to other venetian restaurants around town. Average food & ridiculous prices... So do yourself a favor and don't eat at the hotel restaurant, unless you want to spend a lot of money.
