"Nice Hotel - TINY shower"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Nov 30, 2012
The hotel overall was very nice, room was reasonable, common areas were lovely, dinner was very very good, service in the dining room was excellent. But I have to say this was the tiniest shower we encountered the whole trip - it was 27-inches square! The whole bathroom in general was a bit too small. Now granted, in Sicily, obesity is pretty much non-existent, and the people are smaller of stature in general, but a typical American male would be bumping elbows in this shower, and I can't imagine how an overweight American would fare in there. Front desk staff were just a bit chilly - nothing I could put a finger on, but just to say we enjoyed "warmer" at other hotels. It was very good for the price though, and no regrets.

See reviews on Trip Advisor. This is an affordable, friendly 3-room B&B. Really sweet.
"Agrigento was made more beautiful by Amici"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Aug 28, 2012
Loved our stay in Agrigento, made all the better by Hotel Amici. The staff were friendly and very helpful, especially the lady on reception who gave us the name of the fabulous restaurant Kalós across the road in Piazzetta San Calogero. This was the best food we had in Sicily. The only downside to Hotel Amici was breakfast and some other noisy guests . The first morning we had an OK breakfast but the coffee was TERRIBLE! The second morning there was no juice or water and only a few over ripe peaches. The young girl looking after the breakfast room didn't seem to care. Also on our last night there, some other guests came in at 1am and were very loud, this went on until after 2am and they were not asked by reception to be quiet. I know this might seem like a negative review but we were very happy over all with our stay and we loved Agrigento.
"Did their best to ensure a pleasant stay"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Aug 22, 2012
The hotel was very nice. We booked what I thought would be a 2-room suite but were surprised to actually find a full apartment. The hotel owner, Antonio, spoke some English & was very helpful in navigating Agrigento. We had a consistent problem with the air conditioning but the hotel was quick to help fix it. Although we had internet service (for a fee) the connection was very spotty - perhaps a problem throughout Sicily. The hotel was beautiful & very clean but we were disappointed with the beach & streets nearby. It is a shame that people just discard garbage wherever they are - street, sidewalks & even the beach! We only spent 1 half day at the beach about a 1/4 mile from the hotel, the rest of the time by the pool or at other beaches.
"Not bad at all"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Aug 5, 2012
Pros: The hosts were really nice, and tried their best to make us comfortable. Cons: Agrigento was a ghost town, even on weekends. Furthermore, the Valle Dei Templi is not worth visiting at night, since no public transit exists, including taxis.
"Hard to find but very good otherwise"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Jul 26, 2012
In a delightful part of Agrigento, small hotel but comfortable. It was a bit hard to find but staff was very accomodating

hard to find and we stayed in the room next to the kitchen so people at breakfast woke us up. Otherwise, staff was friendly and helpful, breakfast was made to order, great location, comfortable rooms, clean and bathroom was nice.
