It is near the main promenade in Viareggio which is an excellent place to take a walk. I stayed at the hotel 4 years ago, and it has had major renovations. It offers great value for the rate.

The rooftop terrace is a terrific hangout in the evenings for a drink and to see the sunset over the Mediterranean. Viareggio is a convenient place for relaxing at the beach or daytrips to more rustic parts of Tuscany.

The spa was ideal for relaxing sore muscles after traveling at length throughout Tuscany. The rooftop sunning area has an amazing view and from what we could see is one of the few hotels that has such a view. Hotel Astor offers a discount on the beach umbrella and chairs which can be purchased at Florinda on the beach.9
