Hotel is only a few minutes walk from the train station, very convenient to many sights in Palermo. Front desk staff was very nice. Room was cleaned very well each day. Would highly recommend as a great value hotel.

We enjoyed our stay very much. Remarkably good value for Palermo. True, it does take at least a half hour to get into center city by bus, but for us it was worth it. Parking for the car (which you don't want to use in the city anyway) and easy exit from the city to the air[port to the north were of great value to us.

Located about a block from the Quattro Canti most things we wanted to see over over the week we stayed there were walkable. While located on noisy Via Roma, the excellent double french doors onto the small balconey kept the room remarkably quiet. The landlord spoke little English and we needed a cell phone to initially reach him, but he was very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was somewhat meager and the shower small. It's in an older building, but overall it was a good value.

Even though hotel Villa Esperia has 2 stars, for me, it was a 5 star experience. The hotel and staff exceeded my expectations. The room was clean and spacious while staff were attentive and pleasant. The food was exceptional and dinner was the best meal I had during my 10 day stay in Sicily. I highly recommend this hotel.

We stayed at the Hotel Joli at the end of May, 2011. The beds were comfortable and the roooms were clean. The bathrooms and showers were very small but adequate for us. There should be a soap dish in the shower stall and a hook for your towel nearby. Internet connection was available with the use of a password that they provided. Parking was available near the hotel but cost an additional 14 euros per day. The hotel is in a good location between the port and the center of the city. The free breakfast was good but limited. The staff was friendly and helpful.
