"Good hotel and helpful staff but not 5 star level"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Sep 3, 2012
We stayed at hotel for one night - hotel is modern, clean and no issues whatsoever. But didnt seem 5 star quality (compared to other hotels we stayed in Amalfi). Room was somewhat smaller, breakfast a little bare... no issues whatsoever but expected a bit better. Hotel staff was very helpful, nice and attentive. we had a good experience overall.

As compared to other European hotels, Bianca Maria is one of the best. It was a little noisy but comfortable. Very convenient to local attractions and bus routes. There is wi-fi available in the lobby.
"Great location!!! Great price!!!"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 20, 2012
We absolutely loved this place! The service was great and the morning breakfast was more than we expected. The room was clean and roomy. The outdoor area was beautiful and comfortable. The neighborhood was quaint and we felt safe. We were within walking distance of the bus stop to take us to Capri. We would recommend this hotel to anyone!
"Hotel San Michele di Anacapri - quiet & convenient"Reviewed by Larry K of "Encino, CA" on May 13, 2011
On the Isle of Capri there are two towns -- Capri Town and Anacapri. Capri Town is the loud and boisterous one, with one Prada, Gucci, etc. store after another. For most day-trippers, that may be as far as they go. Of course, if the sea is calm, they will line up to take one of the little boats to the Blue Grotto. But, 10 minutes away by the very frequent orange buses lies Anacapri. It is a charming and relatively quiet town high up the mountain with magnificent views of the ocean and nice little shops and restaurants. And that is where San Michele di Anacapri is located. The lobby is spacious with much of the furnishings from when the home was built in the late 1800s. There is a fine restaurant and a near Olympic size pool. The building is set way back, allowing for a large park area in front that provides a barrier from the street. The rooms are simple and not large, but they are adequate, each with a balcony and view. They also have a shuttle van that will take you down to the port a few times a day. However, the buses to Capri Town and to the port stop right by the hotel and the trip is only 10 minutes. I strongly recommend Anacapri as the place to stay and the San Michele is one I would return to. As an alternate, assuming a very flexable budget, there is a Relais et Chateau directly across the street.
