"beautiful area"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Jan 22, 2013
Hotel was decent, just a typical hotel. The location was breath taking. On top of the mountains, it overlooked fields. Would love to return to the area! Plenty of nearby restaurants if the hotel restaurant doesn't appeal to you.

Excellent hospitality. I recommend this hotel for anyone staying in Assisi.
"Great place for an overnight stay!"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Jan 4, 2013
My wife and I stopped into Assisi for a 24-hour stay while honeymooning in Rome. The hotel is about a 5-minute (UPHILL) walk from the Giovanni Paolo II parking lot/bus stop. Assisi is difficult to get around in with large luggage, there's just no getting around that. The hotel staff was friendly and spoke English well - a plus since we didn't learn much Italian before we left. The wireless internet service was provided via a print-out password you receive upon arrival. It doesn't work in your room, only in the hotel lobby. However, it is quite fast when you're in the lobby. We hiked about ten minutes to get to St. Clare's (UPHILL), and about 7 minutes to St. Francis's (mostly level or DOWNHILL). Our room had a breathtaking view of the Medieval city and the Umbrian plain. Breakfast was typical Italian fare - ham and cheese, croissants and rolls, cappuccino and coffee, juices and sweet breads. It's enough to get you through the day. We would definitely stay here again if we ever make it back to Assisi.
"Wonderful Hotel, but be ready to climb steps"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Nov 28, 2012
I really enjoyed the hotel. It is located right at the Temple Minerva, and in the center of Assisi. We had two hostesses, one Italian and one of Japanese heritage. They gave us a discount card for Assisi, and they also lent us tour book of Assisi for our stay. This saved us 8 euros from buying our own, and really helped us understand what we were seeing. They both were great, kind and met our needs. The hotel has wifi on the lobby. If you are able to get one of the two rooms on the lobby level, the wifi carries into the room. The breakfast was traditionally Italian. The cappuccino or espresso was prepared to order, and at 3:00 p.m. they had Tea time, but we did not take part in this during the stay. It is important to note that our hotel is above the square, and takes about 60+ steps to get to. So, if you have mobility issues, this will be a big problem, and you need to pack light, because I was sucking wind pretty good after hauling my bag up the steps.
"Trastevere Location"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Nov 19, 2012
The Belli is not a luxury accommodation but I found it perfectly adequate and very well located in Trastevere.

Very homey hotel. Staff can speak English which very convenient for communication with tourist. Also within commuting distance to points of interest.
"Assisi, Italy"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Oct 22, 2012
This Hotel is just outside the mid evil walls of Assisi. It is about 5-10 minute walk to St Clare's Basilica. Then about another 25 minutes to St Francis Basilica. Do note that parts of this walk is up some stiff hilly streets. Make sure you are wearing good walking attire.

"La Terrazza made Assisi our favorite stop"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Oct 8, 2012
Traveling through Italy with my unbelievable 90 year old mom was special, but quite a responsibility. La Terrazza was the perfect place. We felt safe and well taken care of by Antonello and his thoughtful staff. The rooms were clean and the grounds landscaped beautifully. The pool was so inviting that mom went in twice during our stay. I highly recommend La Terrazza!
"Quiet and great location in Assisi.pleasent owners"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Sep 30, 2012
When we arriaved we were told that we were in one of the "medieval rooms".....antique.(Must have been upgraded due to two tour groups) Elevator was small. One passenger with bags. My wife went up first...second floor. I followed. Even though it is a second floor it is various levels on that floor. I went up two steps and my wife's luggage was at the bottom of about 8 steps. I went up the stairs and walked into a bright room with mulitple bricked arches in the ceiling...just as you see in the movies.....a king size room......a sitting area....a wardrobe and a place for luggage.(maybe 800 sq ft)...then a large window to walk onto a small terrace with a bistro table and two chairs and great views of the landscape. The bathroom was a typical size for Europe....the shower head was in the ceiling with a wrap around curtain. This room was spacious....not sure if it was airconditioned...kept the windows open. Free WIFI in the lobby area was great. Nice continental breakfast....next door was a very reasonable resaturant with great Italian cuisine. (Hotel had a restaurant....the tour group used it for dinner.) Would stay again...especially if we could get one of their "medieval rooms"
