This hotel, although located a ways out of the main part of the city, is lovely and our stay was terrific. We could easily catch a cab into the city of have Patrick take us in the Four Seasons Courtesy vehicle. The entire staff was always aready to serve and made sure we had everything we needed to make the most of our stay. The one thing that was a minor drawback was
"Cassidy's on O'Connell Street"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 1, 2012
I liked the hotel's location and the staff was friendly and helpful. The only issue I had was with the shower. My husband and I both tried to turn the heat up on the shower and the first morning I took a cool shower and the second morning I only had a very luke warm shower. The sink water was able to be very hot, but there was something wrong with the shower. Otherwise nice place and convenient to the sites.
"Convenient and Economical"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 1, 2012
The hotel was in great condition and the staff were very friendly. I like the security of the elevator requiring room key access. The bed was surprisingly comfortable (and I'm picky). THe breakfast spread was perfectly adequate if not noteworthy. All in all, one of the best values I've experienced in European hotels.

"A nice choice for Dublin"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Apr 30, 2012
I chose this hotel based on location to a first appointment. Big apartment-sized rooms overlooking a park. Everything (including internet) met expectations, but NO ELEVATORS in the building. You will be walking up and down several flights of steps to your room. The desk will take your bags if requested. Restaurant food was good, but only a continental breakfast until 8AM (full service thereafter).
"Enjoyable stay"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Apr 29, 2012
We did love the great downtown location and within walking distance of most major Dublin attractions! Christchurch right outside our window was fabulous and I didn't mind the bells chiming at all! We were so tired from all of our touring and walking we didn't notice during the night hardly at all! The view was awesome! Our rates were great...breakfast included and it was very good and hot! The only problem we had was that we had a very early flight and needed to leave for the airport by 6 a.m.....the hotel is NOT in charge of the parking garage BUT assured us that it would NOT be a problem leaving at 6 a.m. even though the garage did not open until 7...however, the "arm" would not go up and we were stuck in the garage with other guests who also needed to leave until a parking attendant arrived which was VERY frustrating and we almost missed our flight back to Chicago! You will go through customs at Dublin and that takes quite some time! That was our only misadventure. So beware if you have an early flight...you might not get out of the garage! Otherwise I would recommend the hotel...it has a great restaurant...good food and friendly staff.

Bar food was very good and at a reasonable rate. Can't say the same for brealfast. Not many TV stations. I would stay again
"Perfect location and old world charm"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Apr 26, 2012
We chose this hotel because my Dublin cousin-in-law recommended the O'Callaghan brand. We picked it because it was a lower price, has old world ambience, and is very close to everything. It served breakfast onsite which is a must. I had asked for a quiet room--and I got it! Aside from a little noise in the halls around 10 pm, and some noise from the plumbing on occasion it was very peaceful. I was also grateful for the beautiful room-darkening drapes. The beds were firm and I was so warm that I replaced the elegant down coverlet with a plain blanket. The bathroom had everything we needed. The breakfast was lavish and set in a beautiful dining room with cloth table linen and huge windows letting in sun and sights. The waiters gave great service. We ate enough so that we were not hungry for lunch and just skipped straight to teatime. All the people at the front desk were consistently helpful--giving directions, making calls for reservations and checking on times of sights. My only complaint was that there was a little mildew on a tile in the bathtub area and sometimes not enough hot water.
"Very good location in Dublin"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Apr 23, 2012
Rooms are small but nice, great location and free parking are a big plus. Staff very pleasing and helpful...It would have been nice to have the breakfast included in the price instead of an additional charge. We liked this hotel
"perfectly located, great accommodation"Reviewed by Sheila M of "Levittown, NY" on Apr 16, 2012
I really enjoyed my stay in this hotel; it is conveniently located, easy to get to from the airport, it is very comfortable and clean. It has a mini shop for snack needs throughout the day, the gasworks bar staff were fabulously attentive. The rooms we had (2 for our party) were immaculately clean and very comfortable. The breakfast available for purchase was good, but I think I might opt for the served breakfast instead of the buffet. This hotel is a very short taxi ride into the city center, which makes it very convenient. I will definitely be making this a stop when in Dublin again.
