"Well kept Hotel Kempton"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Feb 20, 2013
The staff are extremely helpful. The hotel is very homely and clean, and the restaurant's food is fantastic. All in all I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and I will stay here again should I pass through Kolkata again!

"Nice hotel in central area"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Feb 3, 2013
Room was comfortable with cable TV and minibar. I loved the window sitting area and ambient lights in the room! There was a little bit of mold on the bathmat in the shower. The restaurant has an indoor and outdoor seating area. However, the food for the breakfast buffet wasn't very tasty. I had laundry done and a couple items were still a bit dirty. I asked for toilet paper and didn't receive it. When I asked again the next morning, the woman who brought it expected a tip, explaining she had a long commute to come to work and how difficult it was.
"Good Locaion"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Dec 29, 2012
Overall pretty good. The Bengali restaurant Aheli is way over priced. We got better quality Bengali food outside with lot less price. The hotel should upgrade the wifi. The bandwidth is too low.

"Great Place"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Sep 1, 2012
Hotel Chrome was great. The hotel provided great service and accommodated all of my needs. Internet was relatively fast and they did a great job helping me get to the airport without forcing me to take the hotel car which was otherwise expensive. I was easily able to walk Downtown and to the Victoria memorial but it was a bit of a hike.

"Floatel Hotel - My Kolkata favorite"Reviewed by Richard B of "Chicago, IL" on Feb 16, 2012
The Floatel Hotel provides the perfect balance between the three or fewer star hotels one finds in India for a reasonable amount; and those luxury hotels that are great but cost too much. This was my second stay there, and I will stay there on my subsequent trips to Kolkata. The theme is a nice touch, and I love the hotel's commitment to being ecofriendly. The buffet is always a favorite, too.
