"Watch out for the front desk"

We stayed at the hotel twice. The first time we stayed in room 501 (a dump) and the second time we stayed in room 409 (very nice). My sense is that the front desk people lie to you in order to get more money as they told us both times that there were no more rooms in the hotel and we had to go to their sister hotel down the street. We did not, we insisted on staying, and were given the respective rooms. Advantages were that we only had to pay for one room (we are a family of 5 and it's hard to find one room that can accomodate everyone) and the hotel restaurant (good food, inexpensive). Disadvantages were the surrounding neighborhood- it's near the train station and is very run down. However, when we looked elsewhere the prices were significantly higher. We figured this didn't matter much as we were there to tour Delhi, not stay in our room. So as long as you are assertive with the front desk, I think this is a good choice.

I think the hotel was fabulous - the neighborhood outside wasnt so great but thats to be expected. I loved the room decor and the lovely shower! The breakfast was nice but the room service was even better - delicious food! Not too far from the airport either - I will stay here again when in Delhi
"Safe and quiet environment, hotel is a little old"

The hotel is situated in a gated area where many rich people live here. I can see that it was a high end hotel back 10 or 15 years ago to cater the guests of these rich people, with only 19 rooms. However, without good maintanence and continued upgrade, the hotel gets old as well as the facilities. Overall, it's a decent hotel in India standard. The hotel staff are generally friendly and very helpful, but some night shift junior staff is not as good and somewhat "cunning" to foreigners.
