"reinvention"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Apr 28, 2012
When I made the booking I knew this was a convenient location for the things our family wanted to do in Hong Kong. I only found out it was the former Xinua News Building. I began to anticipate rabbit warren sized rooms. We were happy to see that the rooms were simply, but nicely decorated. We had two queen size beds; they were firm and comfortable. The bathroom was a bit plain and there was a problem with the shower curtain/bath tub design as the water went everywhere - easily solved by laying out the towels before showering. Breakfast was included, but was nothing special - the dim sum was terrible. Regular restaurant service (lunch and dinner) was a much higher standard and has a good reputation amongst people living in Hong Kong. Wifi is an extra charge in the rooms but free in the lobby and hotel restaurant so the guests are all busy on their electronic devices. The hotel staff were alert to guest reqirements without being overly solicitous. This hotel doesn't have the bells and whistles of 5 star hotels in Hong Kong but was very comfortable for the week we spent in Hong Kong. Convenient shuttles, too!

"great place at reasonable price"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Apr 21, 2012
Hotel was in a good location. Great price for the area. Close to airport shuttle. Close to metro. Walking access to many restaurants. In the ex-patriot area of town, so restaurants were cuisines from many places. The big shopping markets of HK are not walkable, but are easily accessible by metro. Hotel was very clean. Plenty of hot water. Hotel staff is very courteous.

"The Cosmo never disappoints!"Reviewed by Michael P. of "Changsha, China" on Apr 6, 2012
This trip was our 5th time staying at the Cosmo and it never disappoints us. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the service is impeccable, and the location is right in the middle of all of the action. The free shuttle bus that they provide makes it easy to get to all of the major destinations or MTR stations. We highly recommend this hotel and we will definitely be back for stay number 6 this summer.

Small but clean and efficient. Close to Metro. WI FI costs $$$.
"Very comfortable and quiet"Reviewed by Rick S of "Seattle, WA, USA" on Feb 25, 2012
Found staff very accommodating and room comfortable and creatively furnished. Much nicer hotel than anticipated for the price. If we're fortunate to return to HK, will stay at JIA again.
