"Great Hotel at a great value"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Feb 25, 2013
Stay was excellent. Rate was one of the best I could find and the hotel is delightful. had tea in the lobby- and service was excellent. Sheets, pillows, bed and amenities were all top- notch. In walking distance to some of my favorite restaurants (and heard rave reviews on restaurant under the hotel which I will definitely check out next trip).+S

"Overall a nice hotel"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Feb 18, 2013
The hotel was very nice. It was in a great location that had a five minute walk to the metro. Victoria Harbour was close and you could even see it from the hotel! The rooms were small but it was enough for a stay in Hong Kong! The staff was friendly.
"Easy access to transportation"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Feb 16, 2013
The room is clean, the linen is of good quality, enable a good sleep. location is convenient. The best is the free connection shuttle from airport express stops at the entrance of the hotel. Although the hotel is busy, the conceige still helped me to unload my luggages to a trolley, I have to wheel it to my room after check-in, but then I do not have to pay tips, so works out fine.

The room is large and clean. I was very satisfied. The Mongkok East station is near the hotel, but the line is not useful. It takes about 10 minutes from Mongkok station to the hotel. Everything except transportation is good. I recommand this hotel for your stay

First time and there were a lot of things to like about the place, including the neighborhood which is populated with a lot of little eateries, bars and shops.

"Old hotel, but well renovated"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Jan 18, 2013
The Royal Garden is part of the old "Hotel Row" along Mody Road in Kowloon. These include the Regal Kowloon, Intercon Grand Stamford, Shangri-La, Langham and Holiday Inn as similar alternatives. Newer hotels in the area include the ICON and Mira. Fortunately, the Royal Garden received a much needed update/renovation a couple of years ago. The rooms are a bit tight, but extremely comfortable with very nice beds. Shower was great - hot and strong. Internet speed is average. Food is expensive, but well worth it - note their Chinese resto has a Michelin Star. Overall we'd stay here again for the price we paid.
"8 Degrees was a very pleasant surprise"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Jan 15, 2013
8 Degrees is a 15 minute taxi ride from downtown Kowloon so that might be a deterent for some. Having not stayed there before, I found the Hotel a very pleasant surprise, The room (an upgrade from that booked) was very clean and comfortable. Small rooms are typical Hong Kong so that is just part and parcel of what to expect in advance. The staff were courteous and very helpful. Check in and out was a breeze. The hotel is surrounded by numerous eateries that the locals frequent so meals are cheap and represent genuine Chinese cuisine. Overall, I would happily stay again at the 8 Degress when next travelling through Hong Kong.
