"Don't believe the Map"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Sep 3, 2012
The hotel and surroundings were magnificent. The only problem I had was relying on the map supplied. It shows the hotel a few block from the harbor. After walking for 15 minutes we found that the hotel was 2 miles away. Not within walking distance and a 20 euro taxi (R/T) to get to and from the nearest town for some local food.

"Would recommend for sure!"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 29, 2012
Stayed here because of the other good reviews. The owners were super nice and the rooms were great. If you are sailing with Seascape which leaves out of the old harbor make note that this is close to the new harbor. Not a big deal but about a 15 minute walk. Would absolutely stay again. Others in our party paid a lot more for lodging that in my opinion could not have been better for the price or service. Oh, and they have a pool which was really cool.

"Great Value"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Oct 10, 2011
For what we paid at the Iberostar, I felt it was great value. The Buffet was wonderful and bountiful...something for everyone. Great room with a view of Turkey and except for the shuttle bus driver, George, the staff was great!

We got a great deal on the price of our room. We were not supposed to have an ocean-view, but we got a great ocean-view from our balcony. The half-board food wasn't 5-star, but it certainly keeps money in your pocket, and you won't walk out of the dining room hungry. The Greek desserts were the best! We gave tips after every meal of 2 Euro and 5 Euro for breakfast and dinner, respectively. This assured us that the waiter we had from day one (by choice - there is open seating) would provide us exceptional service, and he definitely did. He was always holding a table for us and served us beverages with no delay. Small price to pay for great service. The room was well-furnished. Bathroom was large and clean. Bed was comfortable. AC worked great. The hotel's location isn't that convenient, but my wife and I like to walk and ride bikes. We would walk a couple hours every morning and ride bikes for a couple hours in the evening. South of the hotel along the coast about an hour walk away was a hot spring that had connection to Hypocrites. Very Hot Water!!!. Bring beach sandals if you venture. The rocks on the beach are smoking hot and painful to walk on too. The town of Kos is a great place to walk around too. There are great restaurants. The food is fantastic. The people are pleasant and love to spend time talking with you. What a great time my wife and I spent on the island of Kos. We enjoyed our three nights and four days. We would do it again today if the chance presented itself. We were not disappointed. The longest pool I ever saw at a hotel. It had to be 150 meters long on a cliff next to the Sea. Spectacular view while you swim and sun bathe.

"Great Hotel, Friendly staff"Reviewed by Brian M of "Milwaukee" on Oct 13, 2009
Definately a place for kids. You can book with or without meals. Hotel is off the beaten path, 3 km taxi ride to town. Food average but staff and amenities are excellent. 90% guests are German or Italian. We were only Americans /British guests in hotel.
"Would definitely go back here"Reviewed by C Casson of "London" on Sep 24, 2009
Very good value. Basic but perfectly adequate. Spottlessly clean. Great balcony wrapping round two sides of the apartment. Sheets and towels changed every other day, full clean twice a week. Kitchen area well enough equipped for basic cooking. A bit of a botch-job in the bathroom but everything worked fine even so. Friendly and helpful staff. Good size pool, very clean, with lots of sun beds. Not all apartments over-look pool; some are over the road, which means you don't get bar entertainment noise but you do get road noise (not too bad; not a very busy road, but I speak as someone who lives in a city so if you're from a quiet village it might drive you nuts). Avoid basement apartments - they have a kind of dug-out terrace but look dark all the same. Aircon costs an extra 6 euros a night. Good location 15 mins walk from harbour area. Lots of restaurants and bars in easy walking distance. On Psalidi side of town in residential area, so nice and quiet. Suited to families with younger kids, empty-nesters and oldies, but teenagers and twentysomethings will want to be at the Lambi end of town where all the clubs are and would probably find this area really dull. Beware - reception closes at 11pm and the night watchman may not be there after that, so let them know if you're likely to arrive late. We assumed there'd be 24 hour reception, arrived at 4am, and had to sleep on sunbeds by the pool until reception opened!
