Our stay at Holiday Inn Orwell was very comfortable and I would recommend this hotel to others. I did had one of exceptions on arrival the front desk person was alittle rude. Rude by dismissing my presents and served another person after I had been waiting for service for 5 minutes. Most of the other staff were friendly and extremely helpful.

The guest house rooms were very clean and comfortable. The owners are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was ample and convivial. Coffee and conversion flowed freely. Cherida and Michael know the area well and are very helpful.

Lovely hotel let down by very limited car parking. Lots of 'work' vans in car park, thought they were still working on hotel but was told they were guests on contract for BT. Stayed 3 nights and every night was very anxious about getting back early to secure a place in car park. Be very careful where you park outside the barrier, ask the receptionist if you are 'ok' along the side wall as you will be wheel clamped if you stray off hotel property. Alternative parking at Gala Bingo (5-10 minutes walk and poorly lit), well I would not have been happy leaving my car there. How silly to build this lovely hotel knowing car parking would be so limited! Will be regular visitors to Ipswich but will not book there again. What a shame .....
