Everyone working in marketing knows that the client's satisfaction is the key to succeed. You have definitely managed to do so- the reception service, the guest service, restaurants and more. Even though it is my first stay at your hotel- it will NOT be the last. The location of the hotel is ideal-near the subway but far from the noise and crowded streets. The room I got was lovely- clean, equiped with all the necessary items for guests. Above all I must mention the service- efficiet, polite and you never get the impression you are nagging the staff. To sum up, this has been a pleasant experience and I will definitely come back.Thank you for everything,Dorit”
This is a historic hotel, right next to Hyde park and a few train stations away from most downtown attractions. You can also walk to Paddington Station - convenient for the flight home so you don't have to buy a rail pass that day. The hotel is pretty, and the rooms updated. It does have wireless, but there may not be enough range to reach your room. I went to the lobby with my laptop, then had no problem. The room is small - I wouldn't have wanted to share it. Strange that the bathroom has no shower curtain; water went everywhere when showering. My room had a few unfortunate problems: subground level with people talking and smoking outside it in the morning. Also, there was a wet spot on the floor that did not go away. I would have asked for another room, but was busy and didn't mind too much. The staff were quick to address problems I did bring up though, and tried to be helpful. They didn't give good restaurant recommendations, saying to go down Queesnway (OK, not worth what I paid). Find your own. Overall, a good experience.”
this hotel is fine -- it is what is seems to be. the neighborhood is one of my favorites, but may not be to everyone's liking. tube stop is just a few minutes away. there are a couple of good restaurants on earl courts road nearby, as well as a M&S and two other grocery stores. hotel is clean, no a.c., but a ceiling fan, and of course, tiny rooms. i'd recommend the hotel highly for a few nights.”
The neighborhood is upscale but not snotty. In the same block is a Pauls (great sandwiches and pastrys), Starbucks, 2 Grocery stores, a pub with good food (Stanhope Arms), a Steak (etc.) House with decent prices, and Indian restaurant, etc. (As a side note, check your bin if you go to the 'illy' cafe as they seem to have creative ways to tabulate your bill and they are not a friendly bunch).. The hotel is old, but mostly clean. The staff is friendly enough. If you're up for a mile or two walk, you can reach the Victoria and Albert Museum and Harrods is just a bit farther. This is a great location. Everything else you need to see is only a tube ride away.”
This hotel is situated opposite the Gloucester Road tube which accommodates the Picadilly, Central and District lines. It makes getting around London to all the major attractions very easy and you can catch the train direct to and from Heathrow Airport. The staff were very friendly, attentive and efficient. Breakfasts in Olives Restaurant are buffet with a wide selection of food and beverages available. Bar staff are friendly and courteous and on the Thursday night that I was there a jazz pianist was playing.I dined in Olives Restaurant a couple of nights and found it very pleasant. There are numerous hotels and restaurants within walking distance together with takeaway food places. The area is also well serviced with internet cafes and beauty salons near by. The rooms are comfortable and clean although the bathrooms could do with some upgrading.I would willingly recommend it as a great place to stay in London and will stay there again myself.”
The hotel has a great location mainly due to its proximity to the piccadilly line which is equally convenient for going into town as it is for going to Heathrow. You can also walk to some good restaurants but you need to know your way for that.”
The hotel was nice enough, but you could hear everything that was going on in the room next door. We were in a basement room, so we also got to listen to the traffic and smell the cigarette smoke of the people who were hanging out on the sidewalk.”
The lobby was spacious, clean, modern with a bar and coffee shop attached. Breakfast was not very exciting however. I know some folks like Cumberland sausage (my son and daughter-in-law for example) but they are the exception, I am sure. And if they are going to serve scrambled eggs, please - not waterry and pale. Do them up proper. Other than that, we really enjoyed our stay. Even came back at the end of our journey. Jesper was most accomodating as was all the staff. We were able to walk to many attractions as well as the Glochester Rd tube station. We would return.”
Everything was very clean and comfortable during my stay. The rooms are on par with most European hotel room sizes and all amenities were available in the room. The beds are comfortable, and the room quiet at night so I slept very well. The location is also convinient - about a 5 min walk to the Kensington High St station, and the neighborhood is very safe to be walking to/from the tube at night alone. But you're close to many sights, and can navigate on foot if it's a nice day. There is a lot of shopping in the immediate neighborhood as well. The staff was very curteous and helpful; checking in and out was no trouble at all. While I didn't agree that with the 5-star caliber rating, it was certainly a 4-start and a good value. I would stay there again!”
Hotel in good location and was a good price for Kensington , London. Room was small for a double, but very clean. We arrived at 2pm , but had to wait an hour for the room to be ready. Lattes in the bar were expensive at £4 each. We assume the good price was because rooms were small. It was alright for a night or two.”
