This is a nice no thrills hotel which is comfortable and in a great location. The hotel is a block up from the bus station, which is great if you travel in on the bus from the airport which is only £2. The hotel is a good base and is within 5 minutes of the city centre and the shops. Its Also close to a number of nice restaurants and pubs. It is worth noting that tours will pick you up from outside this hotel and there is a rep for tours outside. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful however, not the most urgent I have ever come across. If i visit Belfast again I would have no hesitation in staying here again.”
On the northern edge of Belfast, this location is perfect if you have business or interest in Queen's University. Malone Lodge is in a beautiful, Victorian neighborhood. The staff was very helpful, and we're attentive to every need and request. As noted in the title, it is a good value. Belfast is a walkable city and we trekked into center city in about 40 minutes. But the bus service is also readily available. We enjoyed out stay.”
The Good: Central location, friendly staff and a comfortable lounge/restaurant. Room service runs to 10:30 which isn't bad either. The not so good: The window in my room (436) wouldn't close properly so when a car alarm went off late at night I found it hard to get back to sleep. Someone didn't think things through when they installed new plugs in the bathrooms that operate in a completely counter-intuitive fashion. There's a hole at the back but no rod to raise the plug. I only found out when leaving that the hole at the back is pointless and that you're supposed put to manually rotate the plug or something... even the desk clerk agreed that it's a stupid and unsanitary mechanism I had to pay £5 to park my rental car there. The main reason I picked the hotel was for parking and I object to paying extra for it. Food wasn't great for the price I paid. I waited 20 minutes for the lunch special and was less than impressed. Quantity over quality was the order of the day.”
The Stormont hotelis is reakky well situated with easy access to anywhere you would want to go in Belfast. Love being able to park my car right at the hotel. Hotel is bright, modern and very welcoming. Just as you enter the hotel their is a lovely lounge with a great fire for cold days. Staff are always extremely friendly and helpful, nothing is any trouble to them. Currently, all the bedrooms are getting a face lift (not that they really needed it) I just wish they would leave some of the rooms with baths. I will certainly be back and would highly recoomend this hotel”
This hotel is in a great location and was very quiet considering it is in a university area. The rooms are clean and comfortable. There are many choices for breakfast including hot foods and eggs cooked to order. The food was delicious and plentiful.”
Comfortably furnished throughout, decent rooms and communal areas. Perfectly located for all the major sights in central Belfast. Friendly staff and efficient service. Worth paying a little extra for.”
Hotel was lovely, the only problem i have is that it's rated a 5 star but in my opinion it's 4 star, small things, no hairdryer, shower cap in room. other 5 star hotels have bath robes and slippers there was nothing like this in this hotel”
We stayed for 2 nights in the travelodge belfast central. Location wise it is second to none - great for shops, pubs, trains, etc. Room was basic but very clean. Bathroom could have done with a little basic maintenance but everything was usable and again very clean. Bed incredibly comfy. We were on the back of the hotel looking onto a service yard but that didnt bother us. Also not as noisy as I had anticipated having read other reviews. All in all a great hotel if you want low cost, central and just somewhere to have a cuppa and sleep! Will visit again if in Belfast.”
I would have to commend staff for being so helpful and courteous. My short stay of 2 nigths was a pleasant experience. I found the hotel catered for all your needs, just a short drive to city center. I look forward to returning in a few weeks. I would highly recommend staying here.”
