This hotel was like coming home. While we were only there for two nights, we wished we could have stayed longer as it was so comfortable. Truly like an apartment, it featured two bedrooms, two bathrooms, fully applianced kitchen and dining area, living room, washing machine, etc. The views out the large windows were wonderful as we were right on the water. It was a bit out from the Royal Mile, but there is public transport literally right outside the door, and the concierge was happy to phone for a cab when we needed one. Highly recommended! Can't wait to go back and spend more time!
"Well stocked apartment for Hotel or B&B price!"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Oct 4, 2012
Very clean, comfortable apartment with bedroom, living/dining room, and kitchen with cooking/dining supplies. It was wonderful to spread out for a couple days. Even had a washing machine (alas no dryer). Free TV and WiFi. Free parking in their own lot. Convenient store, gas station, and restaurants across street or within 4 minute walk. Easy 20-minute walk to the Royal Mile, the heart of old Edinburgh.
"easy access to most."Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Sep 27, 2012
good value for the money.

I was very happy with my stay at Smart @iQ! The downfall is that it's a 20 minute walk to the festival hub, which is only a problem when it rains, and it rains a lot. But if you're ok with a 20 minute walk this is a great place to stay with plenty of privacy, super clean and super secure. The staff is friendly but cleaning doesn't come every day, there are no "do not disturb signs" so if you aren't ready for the cleaning people to come by you miss cleaning that day because they won't come back later. The rooms are a little small but they're super clean and convenient. Also, internet gets a little expensive. But since the place is so nice and there is plenty of privacy I would definitely recommend Smart @ iQ and hope to come back next year!
