This was a great stay. The room was huge and comfortable with a nice canopy bed, plenty of storage, and a nice TV. View was amazing as we could see the ocean from our 3rd floor room. The bathroom was very large with a giant tub that easily fit 2. The shower was lovely and a nice size, though the water pressure could of been a bit better. The location of this hotel was perfect. We came in at Edinburgh Waverly and several buses (5, 44, 113, 24X) all stop RIGHT in front of the hotel. There is an ASDA (walmart super store) with a wonderful breakfast cafe about 10 minutes walk. Porto Bella is about 15 minutes away which is a gorgeous little beach front area with an amazing cafe in the swim center that makes homemade food. The bus will get you into Edinburgh in about 30-45 minutes. Edinburgh castle, Arthur's seat, the Parliament, etc is all there. One of the best hotels I have stayed in at a great price. The Bistro, Bar and Restaurant downstairs were good but very expensive.
"Internet and TV only drawbacks"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Feb 23, 2013

This was my favorite town and hotel out of our stay and we'll be coming back. The staff was so friendly and suggested some really wonderful places to eat!

"Nice hotel, some surprises"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Jan 9, 2013
We initially chose this hotel because the city centre was booked for the days surrounding New Year's. The hotel itself was very nice, new, clean--but the train that is two stops away from city centre wasn't running because of the holiday. So our only options were taxi or a long walk to the bus. Just something to ask about if you are trying to save money OR have problems walking.
"Love, love, love it!"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Jan 6, 2013
We loved our time in Edinburgh! The hotel was in a prime location for Hogmanay celebration and is truly center of the city! The hotel was great but nothing compares to the fantastic staff! Everyone that worked at the hotel, from the bar tender, to the woman that checked us in , to the manager, to the night security guard, was amazingly friendly! I got ill our second day there and the woman at the front desk, Abigale, sent up a special drink that her grandmother gave her whenever she was not feeling well and it really did the trick! They treated my family and I like we were family!!
"A comfortable room for 4 people"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Jan 3, 2013
A modern, clean and comfortable room to stay in over the Christmas holidays. We stayed in the one bedroom apartment with a pullout sofabed (which turned into 2 cots). It is about a 15 minute walk to Dublin Castle and to the Grassmarket area. A Tesco grocery store is conveniently located 3 minutes away. A 200 euro deposit is asked for when you check in. We had free Wi-Fi. We bought a return bus ticket from/to the airport which drops you off on Haymarket Street. It is then a 10 minute walk to the Staycity apartments.
